Idk, imo it sounds more like cope to say it won’t get it. Especially given the old argument was the Gripen was the most well armed Meteor Carrier but then gaijin added the dual racks for the Fox 3 on the EFT. I see no reason this will be suddenly changed. The Gripen has no advantage and will simply be shoved to the same BR with Meteor because of compression problems with gaijin.
Does documentation even exist for meteor double pylons? I cant even find proper documentation for double AMRAAM pylon.
no it does not
No, it was added for balance and constant begging
there is pictures of the double pylon withe ASRAAM and IRIS-T, which are/should be intercompatible for the most part with the amraam pylons wise
Yeah, they are, but they’re MUCH lighter than Meteor too. Not saying it isnt possible, but a lot of weight.
Yeah but I don’t think we’ve seen anything outside of renders of double meteor pylons of which even the Gripen has renders from SAAB of double Meteor mounts but I don’t think anything has gone through with their plan for that last I checked.
unlikely that there will be a weight restriction tbh
think it would be better to ask someone like Gunjob who knows more EF stuff
Thw reason why we have the Double AMRAAM, is that it can be seen in the cockpit MFD on a Real Eurofighter Simulator, thats why we have it
nope there has been a picture of the EF SMS page with an amraam double pylon
let me try to find it
you know thats a step below a render in terms of evidence right?
its an image from a simulator cockpit MFD
its from the simulator that the airforces use to train in
surly that one has completly different charcteristics from the real plane that the pilots are training to fly in
AFAIK dual Meteor pylons are still in development. The dual AMRAAM pylons on EFT in-game (MFRLs) are however compatible with AMRAAMs.
if people scrolled up they could also see the dual pylons with IRIS-T…
That is such a scuffed loadout, why would you ever take the double racks but not the 4 recessed hardpoints. But nice to know that the double racks for AMRAAM are real… I wonder if the Meteor has a separate symbol on the page, or if it has the same as a AMRAAM
fair enough, i forgot about that particular photo
Obviously, we have to make some assumptions, but considering the Meteor is a heavier missile than the C-5 and we could also reasonably assume a ramjet won’t be able to match a rocket motor in thrust/weight I think it’s just going to be mid unless Gaijin decides to give the Meteor some crazy HOBS performance for some reason or notching is made significantly harder.
normally meteors are carried in the recessed pylons
and it is possible that they were alredy fired in the simulation, just like 1 amraam on the left double pylon was fired
