Merkava Mk1-2 Br situation

2A4 has a round that’s marginally worse than 9.7 Merkavas.
What 2A4 has that causes a 1.0 BR jump is armor and mobility.
Most 9.3s and 9.7s feature rounds similar to that of Abrams and Leopard 2A4, just have lower mobility and armor.

Skill doesnt matter when u compare diffrent vehicles
Look at france and germany for exmple

Ok and it has much better mobilty and decent trolly armor
Its a big gap between the merk with its peper armor and mobility of late ww2 tanks compare to 2a4 and 11.7 which is mostly just better shell and sometimes better thermals

Oh and dont forget merk crappy sights

It kind of does when you compare different types of advantages. Tanks that overly rely on one or more passive advantages like armor often have a low skill floor, but also a low skill ceiling. While tanks that overly rely on active advantages usually have the opposite.

Bishma vs the M1 Abrams for example. The Bishma has a lower skill floor as it’s easier to get into, but the M1 has a much much higher ceiling. This is exactly the same as T-64B vs Merkava Mk.1/2.

No u cant involve skill like u cant involve distnace when armor is more effective

We talking about equal skill in all areas

It isnt better then the bishma or t80b

U talking like t series are turretless tank destroyers
It if was the case then yea u could argue about armor or gh
But it has gh sure it isnt great but u can work with that with no issue while having no armor leaves u to only ratty playstyle to never get shot

Also armor isnt just about stoping rounds
It makes the enemy aim for a split second and it can determine who gets the first shot

It’s impressive how confident you are about being wrong.

You are talking like that is a fact, but in reality you are just saying that having no armor leaves you specifically to only ratty playstyle.

Almost all of my games in the Merkava Mk.1/2/4 I use them in frontal CQB and I still did/do fine in them.

Also I forgot this gem, the M1 absolutely has a much much higher skill ceiling than the Bishma and T-80B. In the hands of good players the M1 is miles better. However that is off topic.

Playing qc doesnt mean u dont play like a rat
U stay allways in cover and wait for enemies to push u or being distracted this is exacly like a rat

It needs more skill? Yea cuz it is a worse tank that has no armor and bad shells
It is better? Not rly
a good player will use t80b and bishma and will probably be better

Are you projecting at this point?

In your fantasy maybe. The Bishma and T-80B are pretty hard limited by a lowish skill ceiling. The M1 has a pretty high skill ceiling so a good player can get much much much more out of an Abrams than they can get out of the T-80B or Bishma.

Remember armor is something really good players don’t really care about. It’s mostly a crutch that us normies can hope to save us.

I disagree
M1 has higher skill ceiling cuz its worse and needs skill to play unlike t series that are more forgiving

A good m1 player will perform more or less like a decent t80b player

Huh?
Sure thats why ariete and merkavas are meta

That is not what a skill ceiling is. What you are describing is the skill floor.

Just look up some of the good players and find out if it’s true, I doubt you’ll find confirmation.

I mean a lot of good players massively prefer the Merkavas and Arietes over tanks like the T-72B3A or T-90M.

I mean in both ways
A player good or bad will perform better on t series

Where is this info from?

Anyway its off topic and it isnt the same cuz merkava lacks mobility so u stay with only fire power and gh

I’m quite fond of the merkava 2b but the t64b at least has some real composite armor and an atgm It even has the BVM upgrade in the modifications where as merkava is slow (but has a real reverse gear) and the best armor on it is only composite screens. The top shells have a difference of 36mm pen (3bm42 vs M413) and the autoloader is seen as either a blessing or curse for the T64B. I think they are different enough and have punchy enough guns as long as you’re not just holding w in either of them you will do okay

No, a good player will perform better in the Merkava.
