Merkava isnt more mobile it just have more -7 in reverse and it trades it in less top speed and alot less accelertion
And armor is much more important then gun handling
More so t series bs armor

It is not for a huge peper tank to go up against 2a4 and t80b
Problem is BR decompression. 9.7 gets absolutely stomped by 10.7, which in turn gets simply farmed by 11.7.
The Merkavas were absolutely farming at 9.3, so not suprising they were moved up.
Maybe for players that aren’t very confident and/or good at the game.

Its not black and white it depnds how much armor and how much gun handling
Its not like t64b has bad gh its just not great and u have the thing that the gun stays where it is no matter how fast u turn+ t series turn very fast so another bonus
this is on top of the armor,mobility and fp
Maybe u have a ratty playstyle but most ppl dont play like that in mbts and thats when armor matters
I like to brawl in some vehicles, which is something the Merkavas are much better at than the T-64B can ever dream to be.

Armor is a big advantge in brawl and its better to have then a few more -kph
Just position urself in a good way that u wont need to reverse alot
It is a great advantage if the player isn’t confident.
There is a reason why the majority of the good players prefer the Merkava Mk.4 over a T-90M in a brawl as well. Similar situation with the Merkava Mk.1 vs T-64B.
Just have good cross hair placement and enemy armor suddenly means nothing.

They should go back to 9.3 as the engine spall nerf was implemented, but I do think they are better than the T-64B.
However, 9.3 T-64B would be kinda ridiculous against 8.3s, so it can stay where it’s at.
The 9.3 Event US Merkava can get DM33, as it went up from 9.0 and has DM23 at 9.3.

The 6.7s reload is its greatest detriment. It should drop down to 5.0s and have its BR changed accordingly imo.

If you want those reflexion, Leopard 2A4 isn’t march to fight 11.7 is this way.
FV4030 worst lower front armor, is 10.0 and challengers are 10.3 / 10.7 with the same issue.

The ESS on the merkava is pretty ass tbh, it comming from a really weird angle so half of ur tank is visible when ur cam show that ur tank is fully in ess. and with the mediocre mobility it just get raped when you use it, the main problem of the Merkava is when it get uptiers it just get raped, i understand that lowering the br would mean it would rape everything, gaijin need to do something about br they need decompression.
Also the addition of the fucking hydrolic pump is hell… Anything that pen the turret (wich it will cus it doesnt have armor) will set it on fire so survivability got nerfed pretty badly it a 34sec repair wich is just too long tbh for that stupid thing on the back of the turret.

2a4 has top tier mobility gun handling and not a bad shell
Being able to hit tanks begore they have the time to react is also a crazy advantage if you are good enough.
The difference between armor and gun handling is that armor is a kind of passive advantage while gun handling is a kind of active advantage. Active advantages are usually more useful for good and aggresive players.
