Would be far better than the auction
Aye I must of spent into the mid 1K with this game do I regent it some times but I have to remind myself people spend on that smoking in a month. So really it all comes down to was it worth it or was it fun.
You could also just take the community skins/decorations after you made sure they meet your quality expectations and add them in game for 200GE to the vehicle they apply to.
This way the players get the skin they want, without having to rely on luck from a box. Gaijin makes money from that and you can share your profit with the creators.
And last but not least, this way all platforms have access to the cosmetics…PC and Console players.
There is exactly 0 need to add an auction system to the store.
If the intention is to allow players to buy cosmetic items without resorting to luck and to reward creators for their work then why not just sell these items in store or in game normally?
Same, I’m too scared to tally up how much I’ve spent but ultimately I know that through this games ups and many downs I have fun and to me that’s all that matters.
However it seems that Gaijin themselves are trying to turn people aways with features like the auction, I mean, 127GJN for a profile icon frame is genuinely maddening.
Okay, specifically I bought PA for six months, although it hasn’t ended yet, GE for BP. What did I get: copy-paste in the BP “prizes” and rank 2 for warbonds, on which even daily tasks cannot be completed?
In Stellaris, for example, each Expansion pack comes with new features and mechanics. I have never regretted buying any of them. Not a single cent. I can say the same about many other games, but… among them there is not a single F2P.
Wow, I really hope this won’t become a regular thing…
Im amazed that the economy controversies two years ago didn’t do more damage to numbers
Except for something like a “Black market” in some other game, for selling vehicles. Camo is just the beginning.
And I support you having an increased say in future Battle Passes etc 😉
I know these debates and votes would be very different if they were reserved for those who have put money in. I have asked many of the negative posters, and 90% of the time when they answer, it’s from players who are proud that they do not support the game with money, at all, ever.
I think many of you would be shocked if you could see how many of the loudest negative voices have spent zero $'s. Why are they complaining? They have never spent a dime, and most likely wont in the future either. Agents of chaos that usually do not offer any constructive ideas.
The logical response from those who don’t spend $'s should be to advocate for MORE profit for the company, so they can continue to play for free. Why are they advocating for the company to make less money, when they depend directly on those players who do spend? It makes no logical sense.
It will if we let it slip
As others and I have said there are so many different ways to approach this and they choose one of the worst
Which they copied from another popular tank game
Lovely…
Looks like Bobby Kotick’s got a new job…
Anyway, congratulations, Gaijin, you’ve managed to move your monetisation practice from predatory to disgusting and bordeline illegal. That’s quite an achievement…
At least have your PEGI changed to 18+, because the way you’ve decided to follow certainly is NOT for kids 12+…
BTW, correct me if I’m wrong, but I thought that the Marketplace is there for selling user-created camo’s and stuff. Oh, wait, that can’t be FOMO’d, thus prices are low and so is your cut…
AFAIK there are player-created vehicles in the game, so it would not surprise me if more were added via this auction house. Not to mention “player-created” (but actually made by Gaijin) vehicles…
I also complain alot and I don’t even want to know how much money I burned on this game
Also pretty sure it’s a significant part of all money I spent on games in general
Both in-game and game purchases
Gaijin please, Listen to us. if you love and care about your game which I kind of starting to doubt. please remove this feature.
Stop trying to think how are you going to milk the players for money everytime, instead think how to make the game better, I know this is F2P games. But I believe alot of successful F2P games doesn’t milk us the way you do.
I really stopped spending money in this game for this reason, you are trying to be greedy. Let it out, Please put some I love, I really love your games. Enlisted for an example (besides WT).
So winning/losing the auction isn’t luck but paying a known price for something… is?
Yea just sell those skins for a set amount and be done with it
Sometimes, I miss the Old days of War thunder, when It was fun and less suffering as well as less ‘‘money grab’’
And your complaints and criticisms should be heard and given more weight 😄 I have just had many very negative debates with “freeloaders” and I don’t like or appreciate how they usually derail the conversations.
I know many players might not agree with my suggestion, but I strongly believe some sort of restriction in favor of supporters would make these debates more constructive and less toxic.
This is called insanity, doing the same thing over and over and over (ways to milk money) and expecting different results (positive response)
Also gaijin
The sunk cost philosophy can just do so much
There is a Point were players don’t care about the money any more and just leave the game for good
Something that was pretty clear during the last uprising
People stop Caring for the game if they feel to abandoned from the devs
And the auction really makes me feel gaijin only cares about the top 100 Spenders
