And then I Play any br 10.0+ Game and I wonder how how the charity is full of brand new premium vehicles
Again, it is a free to play game. They could make it so you have to get premium time to play at all, or things like premium vehicles will remain. You can’t have everything for free, again, it is not a charity. I will repeat, debate about how they make money is healthy, but complaining about EVERY way they make money is a waste of time.
I am in the middle with most debates about how they make money, but I want the game to continue. I don’t want it to go offline. So, I try to consistently argue for more people to get premium time etc. Maybe it wouldn’t stop these other money making routes that the company pursues, but it would make it less likely, and give us more leverage to argue against some of them.
So where going there are we okay…
oh and this
I also own all premiums and Event vehicles in the game currently apart from the He 162 A-1and E-100
Everyone has a voice regardless of how much they have spent.
without the players this game wouldn’t be around, and you know the old saying “don’t bite the hand that feeds you”
And imo, you should get more influence in these debates/polls etc. Heck, maybe advocate that you get 5-10 votes per poll/vote, and those who spend nothing get 1 vote. Or make it even more weighted towards you. 20-50 votes idk. But I strongly advocate for supporters getting more say.
EDIT: I am not trying to flex that I spend, only that I do want to support the game that I enjoy playing, and the minimum I can do is buy premium time, especially when it is on sale. So, maybe I get 5 “votes” and players who spend/spent thousands get 10, 20 or 50+. It seems reasonable and fair to me.
Don’t you think there is enough ways that they generate money, with in War Thunder.
Don’t forget they also have other games they make a ton off as well not just war thunder.
They’ve probably made over 5 million just off the sale of the Ka-50, if not more
I don’t know. And I agree with your point, but I have asked many players who complain loudly before if they even have premium time, and MANY of them proudly state that they have spent ZERO $'s ever on the game. I do not appreciate those players complaining as loudly as they do, for MORE free stuff for themselves, when they do “nothing” to support feeding the server hamsters.
Should they have a say? Sure. But, I still strongly believe that those who put more in should get a greater say/vote etc.
EDIT: Yes, players who spend nothing do support the playerbase, and keep down our queue times. However, if everyone spent nothing, there would be no game. So, those who only play but dont spend don’t actually keep the server hamsters fed. Hence, why I think they should have a reduced say in how things are run/added to the game. Specifically in financial/sale/premium type stuff. Debates like BR changes etc I think should be even voting for all players, fwiw.
you don’t get treated any different of how much you’ve spent, and to be honest id rather have it that way.
I spend the money because I enjoy the game, but lately with these decisions, I’m currently having second thoughts
that’s very awful system please don’t.
i made old suggestion which is more free to play friendly and everyone can use.
trade convertible (RP) for event vehicles and other items (market)
I disagree that it should be even. Again, almost every company, “IRL” or gaming, has supporters areas/sites/chat rooms. It is a normal thing. Stock holders for instance in “real” companies get to decide and vote. It is perfectly normal, rewards those who put in, and helps the company know what to offer to those who are willing to spend on the company.
Players who don’t spend aren’t going to buy anything anyway, why should they get an even vote, or any say at all? They are only complaining to complain, and are a huge distraction and negative influence on these debates. I see absolutely no value in their posts (when purely negative or non constructive) on the topic of money and profits, and only derail the debate between paying/supporting players. Especially when it comes to polls+votes. That is where their negative influence is the most insidious.
Having said that, I appreciate all of you who are debating in good faith.
@Tubby_Vermin I appreciate and respect your viewpoints 🍻
I already voted yes a while back =)
Would be far better than the auction
Aye I must of spent into the mid 1K with this game do I regent it some times but I have to remind myself people spend on that smoking in a month. So really it all comes down to was it worth it or was it fun.
You could also just take the community skins/decorations after you made sure they meet your quality expectations and add them in game for 200GE to the vehicle they apply to.
This way the players get the skin they want, without having to rely on luck from a box. Gaijin makes money from that and you can share your profit with the creators.
And last but not least, this way all platforms have access to the cosmetics…PC and Console players.
There is exactly 0 need to add an auction system to the store.
If the intention is to allow players to buy cosmetic items without resorting to luck and to reward creators for their work then why not just sell these items in store or in game normally?
Same, I’m too scared to tally up how much I’ve spent but ultimately I know that through this games ups and many downs I have fun and to me that’s all that matters.
However it seems that Gaijin themselves are trying to turn people aways with features like the auction, I mean, 127GJN for a profile icon frame is genuinely maddening.
Okay, specifically I bought PA for six months, although it hasn’t ended yet, GE for BP. What did I get: copy-paste in the BP “prizes” and rank 2 for warbonds, on which even daily tasks cannot be completed?
In Stellaris, for example, each Expansion pack comes with new features and mechanics. I have never regretted buying any of them. Not a single cent. I can say the same about many other games, but… among them there is not a single F2P.
Wow, I really hope this won’t become a regular thing…
Im amazed that the economy controversies two years ago didn’t do more damage to numbers
Except for something like a “Black market” in some other game, for selling vehicles. Camo is just the beginning.
And I support you having an increased say in future Battle Passes etc 😉
I know these debates and votes would be very different if they were reserved for those who have put money in. I have asked many of the negative posters, and 90% of the time when they answer, it’s from players who are proud that they do not support the game with money, at all, ever.
I think many of you would be shocked if you could see how many of the loudest negative voices have spent zero $'s. Why are they complaining? They have never spent a dime, and most likely wont in the future either. Agents of chaos that usually do not offer any constructive ideas.
The logical response from those who don’t spend $'s should be to advocate for MORE profit for the company, so they can continue to play for free. Why are they advocating for the company to make less money, when they depend directly on those players who do spend? It makes no logical sense.
