Unironically a better plane. Climbs better, turns better, actually hits its target (no potato thrower 30mil), and by the time the 262 gets to its cruise speed it can literally be caught by a spitfire (pretty much anything atp). The ONLY thing the 262 really has is top speed. Genuinely wouldnt be far fetched to drop them to 6.7.
Not sure if your remark was a joke or not - have in mind the sole reason why this post-ww2 aircraft F Mk 24 (first service 1946, just a few F Mk 21 saw combat in ww2) got down-BRd from 7.0 was that the F-104 pushed the MiG-15 and F-86 to 8.0…
This is imho not correct - i killed several F Mk 24s in a plain 6.0 He 162 - the Spit never has a chance to get in gun range vs a proper flown jet - even in a dive after 870 km/h there is nothing left.
This looks reasonable from the perspective of an experienced pilot - if you consider that the majority of players lack any experience in flying a 262 properly you can argue that 6.7 changes nothing in Air RB as all the props you fight behave like A6Ms compared to a 262 - so in order to hit anything you have to push them low whilst you can’t afford to get too slow as otherwise the 3-5 guys chasing you for 10 minutes can catch up…😂
I saw a lot of replays of Ground RB matches in which the speed advantage for surprise attacks works quite nice, the lack of markers there makes a huge difference. But for Air RB the world looks difrerent.
this thing is a 6.3 at best
like no sh*t the 262 would stomp this thing
the lfmk9 spit is literally better than the f mk24
this means nothing
all you show is an overtiered aircraft
(this would be like saying that the 109k4 does not deserve 5.7 cuz the a6m5 is at 5.7 and far worse)
Without the airspawn (I don’t believe it needs one anymore)
262 is practically equal to P-51h (undertiered, should be 6.7).
I made this post and it details how one would counter the 262.
In sumary, since the ballistics are so ass it can only really kill you if you commit a nasty blunder or never hear or see it.
“But it can just B&Z and cannot be touched!”
First, he-162 exists and it practically beats the 262 except top speed
Second,
It has 100 rounds for 2 cannons and 80 for the other pair, it can’t really afford endless attempts, it’s cannons are really spoiled brats that will only touch your enemy if are within 400m and once it tries to take after a rearm it can really only do it if it’s team is still alive and can cover it, otherwise it can’t escape the airfield bubble.
So it needs to rearm a lot (props are a lot more slippery to catch since they turn really well) and if it’s the last member of it’s team while it does that it can’t exit the spawn, atp just land and leave, hand the victory and save some 11k Repair, that’s a reasonable 262 player would do.
So yeah, just keep your eyes on it or track it’s position every once in a while and you will be safe and can essentially nullify it and wipe it’s team.
Me 262 A-1a/U1 should be 7.0 at least, MK103 is powerful that’s right, but it is heavier and hard to control, comparing to Me262 A, U1’s maximum overload is about 9g instead of 11G, so in GRB and ARB it should be 7.0 around, I even recommend U1 to 6.7 in GRB, as Gaijin starts to put like F3D to 6.7
