Me 262 in its proper tier

Sooo if you bait a spit upward till its out of speed then energy trap it (Like any normal person would) the spit fire magically wins

If your turning with spitfires its just a skill issue

When i get 5.7 games in my 262 in rb its ridiculously easy to win

I would really want to see you how you dogfight a Spitfire without trying to runaway.

Ur gonna need to proof me that you can beat a spitfire in a turn dogfight if your really that good.

Good luck aiming with a 50mm gun.

Can’t belive they still haven’t fixed 50mm Mineshell Tracers.

Like, they removed them by mistake but now they never going to change it back…

It called Gaijin.

I am not sure if you have read the entire thread. There is no decision or similar agreement on BRs with or without air spawn.

  1. The hypothetical 6.7 BR in Air RB of a standard airfield spawn Me 262 A-1a would change nothing - simply because the skill ceiling to use them effectively is for the average 262 player way too high. So even if you ignore the post-war Yaks with (German) jet engines - coming from props into jets require a different play style.

  2. Patience & positioning and the essential need to keep your situational awareness AND your speed very high whilst avoiding head-ons at all cost (bc your MK 108s are severely outranged) is way more demanding than flying a Meteor, 1946 F-80 A-5 or a time travelling Strikemaster.

  3. I flew exclusively the rare BR 6.7 A-2a with air spawn long enough to assess even this plane as difficult to master as you can’t afford any damage - and things get more or less hopeless if you don’t have 1 or 2 highly experienced 262 players in your team.

  4. Otherwise you can outrun even BIs and any other opponent - but in the majority of your matches you are limited to target oblivious enemies below and in front of you.

Air RB is not a duel simulator - the issue is that gaijin is unable to abandon their idea of connecting BRs to useless things like burstmass.

It is also not a question of energy trapping props - every noob can do this - the challenge is to create an undisturbed 1 vs 1 and to bring guns on target - a decent prop pilot can do this for a very long time - and you end up 3rd partied. Even by a 5.3 plane like the Ki-84 sitting at 6.3 (with 5.3 flight performance) thx to their 2 x 30 mm cannons…

Mate! I play the 6.7 A-2a too (with a higher WR) and i would say this claim is not backed up by your service record.

In any case: Have a good one!

When i play with friends I will use 262 at any br higher that 6.7 and i play wity them every 2-3 days so my K/D ratio doesnt show my skill because i dont grind K/D exclusively because i find sweating in a game is never fun lmao

And if you know so much how would you solve it?

So do we lower the br so the average player is able to use it if that happens then experienced pilots will be able to abuse it.

Just read this:

For this claim:

you don’t need a degree in Quantum Mechanics to see that the whole BR system in Air RB (and wt in general) is based on plain average statistics.

That’s why you see stuff like P-39s (in front-line service in 1945) at BR 2.7, Yak-3s (service Q3 1944) at 4.3 or “never-saw-combat” stuff like F8F-1s at 4.7 & P-51 H-5 at 6.3 - and don’t get me even started about the 6.7 BI.

This thread exists mainly because at least the 6.7/7.0/7.3 BR 262s (Air RB) are somehow excluded from this “average results determines BR” rule.

I only have 2 problems with this the strike spawn is very useful for getting behind the enemy team and picking people off who are still climbing especially on smaller maps and i believe the 50mm got a accuracy buff at some point

I agree the br system needs to be reworked

But you ARE playing sim, where climbing is very rare and the absence of a spotting system + larger maps makes top speed much more relevant.

That convo already ended

Duh? Jets don’t out turn props who would have thought. The prop can NEVER get into a position to kill the jet if the jet plays correctly is the issue. Why do you think its 7.0 and not 5.3?

Neither can the jet get into a position to kill the prop if the prop plays it correctly. What you end up with is an endless series of headons. Fun and engaging gameplay loop for a plane with the worst possible guns to headon with.

If these threads contributed to anything, something would have happened by now. Mods kill every fresh topic and thus no conversation has any recency. The Hawk 200 is the same BR as the 262s. Think about that.

I assume you were referring to the Italian MB 326 K…

That’s a myth.

If they play in a way to be untouchable they don’t really get anything done themsekves.
