GJN added BR information to the scoreboard, even before battle starts, even before the player joins. For me this never was a problem, but I think for unexperienced players it could be a benefit. Fair enough.
At the same time GJN added ALL nation flags, of every subtree. What’s the intention making one part easier and another more diffcult?
BUT at the same time GJN deleted the information about which nations will go to battle. Why? This was a information, players adjusted their loadout on it.
It makes no sense at all. Imagine you join a conflict, and you don’t know who you will fight at all.
So now, if you want to adjust anything on your plane, you have to wait till the battle started and you loose time.
Another current problem are asymmetric battles. I don’t know if the event increases it, but there are too many battles, let’s say it’s 9.0-10.0, one team has no 10.0. I see more and more players skipping these battles. And it’s understandable to me. With the massive compression we have, these battles are unfair at all. The queue time can’t be the cause for it. Most of the time I started a match I’m not able to check my record because the battle already loads. Who needs 3sec queue time?
Maybe the increase of players skipping battles is caused by the new BR information, too.
Maybe even the beginners are realizing now, how many full uptiers they have to play, and how unfair this whole mechanic is…
Let’s draw an extreme, but not unrealistic, example:
Map is dusk and bad weather. You don’t know which nation you have to fight, but you know you are full uptiered and you have no toptier planes in your team.
On top you see your ping is too high or you have PL (not uncommon during event times).
Who want to fly such battles?
