we are forced to play for hours and hours, yes, we accepted it, but we are getting tired of playing the same old maps, especially br 8.3+. They always come out with the usual 6/7 maps, 1km x 1km. Why not be able to choose the type of map you want to play based on its size? Random map rotation is tiring and has gambling dynamics. It is possible that after years the only possibility is to take a premium to have a MINIMUM (often not even that) of skimming for the maps. After 12 hours of playing, an absurd sadness comes over you, like ruining the game…beautiful maps that never come out, is it possible that you only think about making money and making us spend as many hours as possible in front of a screen in the hope that a decent map will come out? many players things that…stop ignore us, give the choise for bigger maps
No, it’s not because of the sale. The map rotation has just always been horrible. Doesn’t matter if you play GRB/ARB or Arcade of those, it’s the same 3-5 maps. Which is boring as hell when there’s 20+ maps.
Rotation has always been shit, always will be shit and won’t ever change.
I can’t help someone accept the truth. I can merely share it.
I noticed that ever since sales started big maps became even rarer.
Use to be able to play 3-7 times on big maps per day but on last few days i managed to get 2 big maps in total.
Well the vehicle packs come with premium time which allows people to access the ban feature for maps.
You’re the one who can’t handle the truth.
WT map rotation VS Spotify shuffle fighting to be the worst “randomisation”
You would think that the frequency of certain maps would ensure that people get along better on the maps … yet you see the same tactical crap over and over again …
not soo regular…in 3 hours of play at 10.3 ground battle only 1km x 1km maps…im mad, i feel that like a small scamm
im premium and the rotation is bad also whit preference. Is a strong algorithm but…why they dont fix that?
whit a 10.3 or 8.3 br formation the maps 1km x 1km are very bad, and if you play hours and hours the feeling is worst
I’m getting soooo sick of the same small maps, seems the worst at top tier, feels like im playing call of duty. if i wanted that id play WOT.
The whole map rotation sucks. Why are certain maps super rare, and others super common?
I couldn’t care less about map size, but the amount of times I get the same maps over and over is just annoying.
like call of duty true, same things…we cant ignore this issues, we have the right to have good map experience, is basic i think
who notice changes?
Ok if Stona wants existing threads and more accurate data
Here are all of the maps I played on that are recorded on the websites replay feature in GRB:
(Column C is the percentage of the total)
there were 84 games recorded. most of these games were split from memory between: China 6.7, Japan 9.7, France 10.0, USA 6.3, and some USA 10.7.
I played on 37 different maps in those 84 games. (I am counting the winter versions of maps like Poland to be the same map as the summer version, because they are all pretty much identical, I am counting small and large versions of the map, i.e Fields of poland, as as a different map)
Of that, the 5 maps I played the most on were:
Abandoned Town (6)
Abandoned Factory (6)
Aral Sea (5)
Tunisia (5)
Maginot Line (5)
These 5 maps counted for 27/84 games, or just a hair under 1/3 of my games.
I maintain that if Severesk wasnt banned, that map would count for at least 10 games on this list.
there are 54 maps in the game. Theres no reason for maps like this to be this much more common than others.
I am going to continue counting
I have Aral Sea banned because it comes up so often. Not sure if this BR is high enough for Pradesh and some of the other big maps but not seeing them turn up at all
But yes the map rotation is so frustrating, was playing air a few weeks ago and I played 12 games, 9 of which was Spain and the other 3 was the Pyrenees
I really dont like Aral Sea, and I really dont like abandoned town, especially as a high tier map. So the effect of seeing them more often is also sort of digging deeper into my mind and making the experience feel even worse.
This is being compounded by the fact Ive been grinding vehicles that excel in larger, more open, longer range maps and suffer terribly on city maps.
By comparison both Maginot and Tunisia are well in the top half of my list of favourite maps, so I guess I havent felt as bad for how common they have been.
I know that Pradesh and Red Desert are higher tier maps, though I thought they were like ~9.0 and above. But even then you can play 11.7 for weeks on end and not get either of them still.
Dont even get me started on air maps. You play the same map like 8 times in a row, and then it switches to another map for the next 8 games in a row, theres no variety at all. Its like the game only queues up a single map for every battle and switches every ~30 minutes, and because top tier air games are so fast, you end up in the same map queue for a good 4-5 games every time.
Yeah think you’re right about how you feel about a map and how that affects your perception of it turning up repeatedly. Abandoned Factory, Maginot and Poland are the frequent ones I find get me muttering under my breath.
There certainly needs to be a review on the BR ranges that some maps can take, more so max BR’s. Some of these low tier maps are just wholly inappropriate for anything Cold War or later.
