Feels more like bugged auto-pilot just trying to assume the same direction of travel as the weapon/camera PoV.
Was thinking a bug report next week if nothing has changed

On the dev server it’s almost a complete copy paste of the SPICE 250 (check warhead weight and fill, it should have AFX - 757), WIP.
Hm after a bit more testing, I think you are right, it seems to only reorientate once each time you enter the MITL view and not continuously. At least I hope it’s just that. The datalink pods are required still though afaik.
As they should be, and are for something like the Buc S2B and has been since day 1 despite doing nothing. Kinda nice its not just a waste weapon station
So yeah, if aircraft dont have DL pods, bug report them
is there a list of missles/bombs with MITL and the aircraft that have them currently on the dev server?
Yep on the patchnotes
after testing in an actual game safe to say this feature is going to be completely useless in its current state, forcing you to dive towards your enemy while your aircraft uncontrollably tries to align itself with the bomb all so you can re lock is miserable, not to mention the extremely poor game design of rendering targets makes them impossible to use, as air targets typically dont render ground units, meaning that while youre in the bomb sight, youre starting at a literally empty battlefield with no enemies and random fires.
Is it okay if I post this here? If not, I apologize; it’s my first time doing this, but it really caught my attention. I see the list of ammunition with the new MITL mechanic, and they say many more will include it. I’ve been testing the devserver lately and noticed that the PARS-LR ammunition doesn’t have this mechanic. I checked many topics, and none of them mention it. I’d like to let the dev team know so they can take it into account. There’s an MBDA video showcasing this ammunition, and you can see MITL with other features that would be great to add, but I think it’s a bit of a hassle to do it now, haha.
Here is an example image of the MITL of this ammunition.
I hope this helps. I’ll research the topic further to bring you more information.
That is not showing MITL. MITL means the ability to change the target after the missile has been fired, the video does not show that nor does it mention it.
Thanks for the correction, I’ll look for more information to see if I can find anything relevant.
After watching some fightening dev server footage, I think MITL should be cancelled entirely.
I do enjoy the MITL feature. I am also waiting to pair it with the NLOS feature BVV_d talked about on a BliBli episode.
They said that they will cancel it for helicopter, which i guess it is fair as you can abuse the helipads easier
So it’s a drone thunder 2.0. This is a mechanic that needs to get removed. or locked out of GRB.
LMUR doesnt deserve this
so does any other heli in the game.
No vehicle in game should be able to fire from behind cover like this. whether it be planes, helis, or tanks its a terrible mechanic that isn’t fun to fight and has little counterplay.
I only saw that it would be postponed until all nations have an equivalent; did they say it was cancelled elsewhere?
There are quite some maps with high ridges, mountains, cliffs or just these pit syle maps. Like38 Parallel.
Imagine you fire your KH-38’s to map markers, they loft super high into the sky, while your jet remains out of sight for ground players. Who might be locked into a pit map, or there’s no LOS cause of a huge mountain range. The pilots hook up to their missiles, while they’re at their highest point and select targets…
Its not just a tactic for helis, it would also work for jets. I can imagone alot maps where I could use it without exposing myself to any ground player.
Ofc it would only work for missiles with high loft angles. All types of bombs and AGMs with less severe lofting would not benefit fromt his. Its mainly a LMUR, KH-38 thing.
kh38 don’t have mitl.
