No vehicle in game should be able to fire from behind cover like this. whether it be planes, helis, or tanks its a terrible mechanic that isn’t fun to fight and has little counterplay.

I only saw that it would be postponed until all nations have an equivalent; did they say it was cancelled elsewhere?
There are quite some maps with high ridges, mountains, cliffs or just these pit syle maps. Like38 Parallel.
Imagine you fire your KH-38’s to map markers, they loft super high into the sky, while your jet remains out of sight for ground players. Who might be locked into a pit map, or there’s no LOS cause of a huge mountain range. The pilots hook up to their missiles, while they’re at their highest point and select targets…
Its not just a tactic for helis, it would also work for jets. I can imagone alot maps where I could use it without exposing myself to any ground player.
Ofc it would only work for missiles with high loft angles. All types of bombs and AGMs with less severe lofting would not benefit fromt his. Its mainly a LMUR, KH-38 thing.

59, my fault. Confused by numbers. Russians have so many AGMs ingame…
They’ll just be intercepted and that’s it. This is strong for helicopters primarily due to the fact that they have fast reload and spawn near the tank battlefield. It takes much longer for a plane to reload.

Brimstones with mmW seeker are also supposed to be op. I guess Ru has just special rules :)

Well, the Lmur isn’t getting it this update so i don’t understand your complaint.
Though is coming back again in the near future. and LOAL was a BIG reason why they wouldnt add FnF Brimstones and it continues to be one of the go-to excuses as to why they wont add it (even the fairly weak Mode 2)
So its a wierd set of double standards. Especially given it was going to be added and just didnt make it through dev.

What does LOAL have to do with this?
That is the entire reason why MITL is being removed from the LMUR because it was adding very powerful LOAL
You could fire over a hill and then lock onto a target after launch.

So one isn’t added because of to powerful LOAL and the other was removed from dev because too powerful LOAL. how is that a double standard?
As far as i have seen the brimstone is also mmW and not IR and that has also been mentioned being the reason it hasn’t been added in that form, because a lot of munition have IRL LOAL that they do not have in game so that wouldn’t be the only reason for not changing them.
But this is getting of topic.
