Make ejecters and crashers small again (in Sim mode)

,

I’d like to talk about one phantom feature with you. Counting a crashed or ejected player as a kill for nearest enemy. It has been cycling between being enabled and disabled for a very long time now. I didn’t notice it being much of a problem before current event. But now… God bless the person who decided to make sim mode a mode for RB players to make event faster. In last match i had 4 guys ejecting right before my missile hits them. While playing german-ussr side which is usually outnumbered it’s a big problem. You may find yourself without missiles and countermeasures in the middle of the fight after encounters like this. Many guys just head on you, launch all their missiles and eject. I’m tired of reporting players like them And i doubt it actually has any impact. After all, guess we all agree It’s not what we all call a sportsmanship. Even more, if a guy has cerashed during dogfight there was a reason for that - another person attacking him. So let’s appreciate some dogfighting and BVR skill and stop leaving good players rewardless in not most popular game mode.

So my guggestion is: count crashed or ejected players as a kill for nearest enemy in sim mode.

The only issue I see with this is that it has been abused in the past. Abusers would spawn on both sides, then fly to the airfield with their 2nd account and just eject.

There would need to be a system that does not grant kills to people on the ground or something.

Abusers will always find the way. Abuses are not the reason to spoil the game for normal players. I saw many matches where 2 guys sit of the field with their He51 while their friends from the other team just farm ground vehicles and bases.

They are.
Just look at the changed sim economics in air

Let’s say then it shouldn’t be a reason. I’m talking about normal person logic. Normal players shouldn’t suffer because developers fight the abusers. The fact devs think otherwise doesn’t change the reality for me.

complain with the devs.
I have partially given up, since the game isn’t for us enthousiasts, that write in the forums, but for casuals playing the game for a year and then moving on

Yes, nearest player should get credit; 9 times out of 10 they likely earned it or played some part in forcing the error. If some random player lucks-in on the other time I couldn’t care less.

Rewarding normal kills has been and can be abused, but we still reward them.

Hard no. Participation awards are toxic and ruin the feeling of accomplishment, as well as putting insult to injury for the person that screwed up his turn.

Boomers were wrong to push this stuff in the 1990s onto me, and this post is wrong for trying to push it onto me again.

There is a reason zero games in existence have such a feature.

I very much disagree i would very much prefer all the times i’ve sent my spitfire into a tail spin due to my own error, that the guy who was dogfighting me gets the sl and rp,otherwise as it currently is we would’ve both just wasted 10 mins for nothing, now i could possibly see and argument for an assist and not a kill but if a missile is locked onto you which is what this thread is about and it causes someone to j out the you effectively cause them to abandoned there aircraft and it should be a kill

And this game and every game in the industry gives participation rewards otherwise you would get nothing for losing a match even though you got some kills

No games give participation awards for people dying near you. None.

You can easily stop exploits, make it so that death only counts once per player per game… or similar.

Next make the ejection take 10 seconds… and if their client disconnects they keep flying for 10 seconds too. Too many people don’t even jout, they just close the game and their plane disappears.

My own points from this kind of system would account for about 0.1% of my total reward… if someone is ONLY getting points from their dead bot planes it’s trivially easy to see that if you track it.

How does this ‘spoil the game’.

Chasing someone any watching them just jout is spoiling the game for me… happened again today. 5 mins of my life wasted.

I only disagree due to the fact being, some are accidental crashes, and 1 of two conditions should be met to try and fix this.

  1. The enemy plane has to take any tiny bit of damage / be targeted by any aam (within 5 mile distance).
  2. The attacking plane should be looking at the target or within a 30° cone of the target, sub 5 miles.

It give the kill to the closest player / closest aam from a player

That’s not exactly the reason why.

Sim economy changed as gaijin thought people made to much SL and RP.

Join in the fact, a lot of people want to relax and have fun, otherwise known as “zombers”

Although there certainly are bot accounts, they are mainly found in Naval in USS Helena’s.

Naval bots arent a thing for ages now. Same like the base bombing bots in ARB,its much better than it was.

I’m glad I haven’t experienced too much of this, but even in RB you see players do this once very few matches.

This already happens. Get a hit on someone and they crash and you get the kill. If someone spins out I always try to get a hit on their plane before they pancake into the ground.

Do you even play sim??

The fact you were chasing someone wasting 5 minutes of your life spoils your game experience. this is exactly why i created this topic. i have no idea what are you arguing about.

yesterday i had a guy who did this 2 or 3 times during 10 minutes. each time i spent half of my chaffs and few missiles. he didn’t kill me. but i got nothing for tracking him, dodging his missiles and making good shots.
