it would atleast let them hold off the IIR carriers in uptiers
At the behest of making top tier far less enjoyable since notching becomes a good 30% harder
whered you get that number from?
Approximation, could be higher, could be lower…
My point is that notching being made any more difficult than it currently is would significantly worsen the enjoyment of certain vehicles, primarily those with under 100 CMs or mediocre DASS systems
well improved seekers could be a good thing at other BR’s too. R27ER wouldnt be nearly as much of a problem, and late model sparrows would probably be better.
they can always decompress as well to give those vehicles a better time
I think people are over-estimating what htey will be like.
In terms of kinematics, we alreayd see what they will be like with the MICA
In terms of seekers, theyd be no stronger than those on the SAMs.
And no missile in game has anywhere near the seeker performance it should have.
Aim-9Ls for example should be unflareable in pretty much any aspect if you are sat on reheat. Ive seen pletny go for flares even in a short range rear aspect shot against something hot on AB
the R27’s should honestly be worse, the R27ER had an atrocious hit rate, worse than early sparrows in Vietnam
Well the answer is, as always, we’ll see what gaijin does.
Maybe I am fearmongering but based off of irl knowledge of IIR performance, the current 16 vs 16, 14.3 matchmaker would not be able to deal with that threat
Was thinking more IR rather SARH/ARH
the 9B is probably about right, not much else though
Probably because we are just using adapted IR code of the code originally written for the 9B years ago.
they will beat MICA in short range, at least AIM-9X and IRIS-T
Claiming the 9X would is pretty optimistic, the IRIS-T however will be an absolute demon within 10km
in a dogfight the 9X is going to beat the MICA
We’ll see
notch gate for sparrows are already correct
Fair enough then
The issue is probably that chaff is badly modeled
I’m not sure whether or not chaff is over or underperforming, haven’t looked into it. seemingly a lot of people overestimate alot of these radar missiles, saying stuff such as “radars should be unnotachble even look up with chaff” lol no
They are probably not entirely wrong. At the very least I doubt modern radars would be tricked by chaff as instantly as they are ingame. If “turn 90 drop 1 chaff” was really that effective, we wouldnt need things like BOZ pods
Let alone the fact that a lot of radars should be switching between radar modes to maintain the lock far more than they do currently.
