I think denying Germany and Italy (and probably Britain) AESA via CAPTOR-E and Denying Sweden the Gripen NG/E just because their AESA radars are a little too good is wierd given that the Rafale has had AESA for 9 months already
Yeah we could have had these in-game for a while but I’m guessing they want a base version with relatively basic radars and missiles and then do an advanced version with better equipment.
I mean the base version is already easily the second best yet in game. Gaijin starting with the tranche 2 was actually a smart decision.
They just made a really bad decision with the 2 buffs that they gave the Rafale right after launch.
I don’t think the the early 90s 9.15 can carry maws… only time I’ve seen maws were brochures for the 2005 29m/m2 and mig 35.
Given they skipped variants. That shouldn’t be an issue…easy enough to add T1 Typhoons and equivalent Rafales with PESA. Gripen is tricky, but not really avoidable

the T1 typhoons wouldnt be too different from what we have currently (for the sake of WT)
most of the improvments made dont really affect the game
especially since the T1 recived A2G capebility with the block 5 upgrade/ update
Pesa rafale wouldn’t change anything in game it would still be an esa radar, all esa radars work the same in game

it would have less missiles at least, and a worse HMD (only matters in sim though tbf)

True, limited to 6 missiles and a much worse hmd would definitely make a difference

Upgrade our current airframes to AESA
Increase the BR of the AESA Typhoons along with the Rafale F4 to 14.7
add T1 Typhoons that could even be limited to Aim-120Bs and CAPTOR-M (and with or without A2G) at 14.0/14.3

it is more likely that we will get aesa typhoons in one of the next updates with IIR missiles, so that ppl have to research another EF
Sweden is gunna be waiting ages for a 14.3 in that case. Though hopefully everyone will get IIR end of this year
As long as anything possessing next-gen IRs are kept arms length above anything not capable of defending them (I presume there will be some system in palce to evade them, one thats only accessible to the proposed next load of aircraft carrying them)…
I just beg they won’t be seeing anything under 14.0 since IIR is a massive level of powercreep that your bog standard F-16C or J-10A for example will not be able to deal with

the only way for next gen IRs to not completely ruin anything below 14.0 is for ARH missiles to get more realistic seekers (much, much better) and MP nerfs so they can fight back, as well as other fixes
Even then, it just turns top tier into a needlessly difficult endeavour, I think the answer to adding IIR missiles is limiting their carriers to a new BR and that BR having 8x8, this limits the amount of missiles in play and allows for more time to be devoted to defending, and a generally more playa le experience.
I will flat out refuse to play 16 vs 16 ARB with IRIS-Ts and MICA-IRs being slung around, I doubt making fox-3s harder to dodge will help at all
