And SLS has similar problems. Friends of mine have shown me replays of their SLS missiles having the exact same problems as my Python 5s were having.
I don’t think any of those have AESA radars though.
ah not Spanish ones then nor malaysia damn it
Idk whay ur friends told u but p5 is much less reliable
And it shows in the stats as well
i have them both, but they both pretty bad for slightly differing reasons, with elde having no mobility, and the spyder being the size of an apartment complex, both of them suffer from all the TWS bugs right now making both missiles unreliable at close ranges. also both of them have significant wiggle, but at longer ranges i find the python 5 better
I have actually seen the replays and we both know what we are looking at (they also actually open almost every tree somewhat regularly).
Stats are stats bro
Spyder is more underperforming
IIRC Spanish Hornets are all A and B variants that were upgraded. Called the EF-18AM / BM (Before their MLU program they were EF-18A/B’s). They currently don’t use AESA radars instead having the AN/APG-65(V3) mechanical radar. If added now they would be another F/A-18C Early/Late copy and paste.
They are capable of carrying IRIS-T though so I wonder the possibility of seeing an early EF-18A/B and a EF-18A/BM with IRIS-T in the future for Italy.
So really then the only AESA jet Italy can have it’s either the Brazilian Gripen E or the many Rafales
they did order APG-79v4 for their F/A-18D fleet but idk if theyve gotten and flown them yet
Props why they are giving Japan the Indonesian Mi-35 then as I know Indonisia does have AESA jet’s
well japan doesnt really have a need for AESA, they got 2 AESA jets with the F-2 update. That’s the most of any nation in-game I think, and tied with Russia for the most -ESA in general
Pretty much, although they could get a later Eurofighter with Captor-E like Germany and Britain can get.
Even a Spanish Eurofighter with Captor-E but that would be redundant.
Yeah, just have to see with the update after this one
I’d guess sometime next year for a Typhoon with AESA to be honest. They have their flaws in-game (broken radar and BOL as useful as a wet matchstick) but I think they are still competent enough in Gaijin’s eyes not to warrant an upgrade to it in the form of AESA. I think we will see it when we see next gen IR missiles so it would be a more meaningful upgrade.
Or the Typhoon.
I think denying Germany and Italy (and probably Britain) AESA via CAPTOR-E and Denying Sweden the Gripen NG/E just because their AESA radars are a little too good is wierd given that the Rafale has had AESA for 9 months already
Yeah we could have had these in-game for a while but I’m guessing they want a base version with relatively basic radars and missiles and then do an advanced version with better equipment.
I mean the base version is already easily the second best yet in game. Gaijin starting with the tranche 2 was actually a smart decision.
They just made a really bad decision with the 2 buffs that they gave the Rafale right after launch.
I don’t think the the early 90s 9.15 can carry maws… only time I’ve seen maws were brochures for the 2005 29m/m2 and mig 35.
