We still have:
And:
(CF-188 HEP II)
and dont forget Tornado Gr4 with AESA :P
Please tell me this is some sort of high level humor
Spoiler
No, no it’s definitely not OK
Hello! May I ask, is this issue considered to be significant or impactful enough?
I don’t know how relevant it is that a whole tank family has had gimped mobility since its introduction ingame back in 2021, but 4 full years of wait are starting to feel a weee bit long :/
Most recent “accepted” report:
https://community.gaijin.net/issues/p/warthunder/i/OKu3KDR8Sx85
A more detailed report spoonfeeding the exact issue, rejected for showcasing the faulty line of code causing the issue:

At this point, I really don’t know what else needs to be done to draw the developers’ attention to this long overdue issue. The fix of this bug that’s affecting an entire family of MBTs consists literally of changing exactly two numbers on the code. I can’t understand what exactly is taking so long.
No it isn’t
hopefully… with the new drive code thingy for Elde we could see a steering overhaul for everything sooner rather than later:
in the India case also use completely different weapon sets most likely too though ;)
OH MY GOD
REGENERATIVE STEERING
REGENERATIVE STEERING ON THE CODE
We must have this implemented for every MBT in the game, immediately!!!
AT LONG LAST, AFTER 8 YEARS SINCE IT WAS ACCEPTED!
(I know it’s not actually proper regenerative steering, but it certainly would act as a DYI one)
Hold up now. Give them a year or 2 to procrastinate and then it needs ot be released to German, US and soviet tanks first and then maybe a year or 2 after them, everyone else can get it :P
The question was regarding a report that was marked fixed today: Community Bug Reporting System
The report you linked is still open, and not what I was referring too (issued fixed and marked as such).
I am not kidding; if Gaijin implements this change to all MBTs’ mobility, this will single-handedly be the best update in YEARS for a Ground main.
Hello! Yes, it was just an attempt on my side to draw attention to that issue.
It’s just two numbers, I don’t know how they have remained unfixed for so long when the issue has such an enormous impact on an entire nation’s Top Tier rooster of MBTs.
That being said, I am now seeing that there are some new mechanic lines of code that, if implemented to all MBTs, could be the mobility change all of them have been in need for since they started coming to the game. So I will just remain hopeful that this will actually be implemented for these vehicles on this major update!
Sadly at this time, its not the most likely time for issues not related to the major update to see attention. The devs are mostly focused entirely on the next major.
I understand! And now, speaking on the next major, I’ll bother you just this one more time tonight;
Do you know if there’s a possibility they may be considering to implement this Work In Progress mechanic to all MBTs?
Apparently, it’s only a mobility solution crafted for ELDE; however, if it were implemented on MBTs, it could be a VERY GOOD simulation of Regenerative Steering, which has been craved for since 2017 by many Ground players!
This was a fix deployed to the Elde. The tests done were not official here.
It wasn’t official indeed; but if the developers could receive the feedback that this has the potential to be the final solution to the lack of Regenerative Steering issue on MBTs so they could consider it if they haven’t yet, it could be great.
Would you forward such idea for us? ^^
This seems like an unintentional achievement, but I believe it would still be a significant achievement still, if the opportunity was seized.
Reactions to the video have of course already been noted. But I would recommend a feedback topic for others to discuss the idea.
That’s excellent news, thank you very much for the notice and for the advice!!!
If this is implemented, it will be one of the greatest changes made to the Ground Mode in all of War Thunder’s history, and I am not exaggerating a single bit.
I will make a topic as you advise! Would you recommend the Dev section, or General discusson?
So when do the devs plan on actually fixing it considering it still struggles to climb hills. Why add a vehicle if the devs knew the game engine couldn’t handle it?
It does seem that they have a habbit of adding something and then fixing an obvious problem months or years after its introduction.
Tornado Chaff count was another that baffled me it took 18 months to resolve (plus whatever length of time it was under development before that)
