isnt the radar of the shar quite a bit better? Additionaly the J-8F only gets 2 fox 3, while you could take 4 or 2 9m, the 4 ir missles the j-8f has are the pl8. Would say the aim 9m are better as well

Eh… maybe. 9Ls are barely good enough at 10.3 for FRS1. I dont think I really want to be at 11.7 with only 9Ls for IRs. But Id live with 12.0 with 9Ms
Flight model is currently a place holder but yeah i would say the Shar 2 is better
while its missiles are better the performance of the J8F is just better and most fox3 carriers will just have better performance as on the dev apparently its currently the FM of the Gr7 so its gonna get even worse, and I would argue the performance of a jet is still one of the most important aspect, especially with no HMD you have to rely on that performance to get the missile to even lock.

I think the idea of such intensive military cooperation is great. And I think this should also be reflected in the game, in relation to the branches of the armed forces concerned, and comprehensively with insignia and corresponding vehicles for the army and navy

Forgetting about downtiers for a second. If it has Flares. It has to pop 1 flare and the 9L is defeated. Where something like the F-5C can rely upon flight performance to then bring guns to bear. the SHar really cant. Getting guns on target is really difficult. Especially with it missing radar gunsight.
Obviously vs a flareless target, 9Ls are good. But in the usual full uptiers I get or if we are talking about the FA2 being 11.7/12.0 with 9Ls. Then its hopeless. You stand even less chance bringing guns to bear and nothing is flareless

That is happening with this “improved Baz”.
I am fairly certain GJ intentionally kept the variant vague “Improved” to hide the fact it’s a copy paste & minimize a community focus. They know they cannot deny the HMD for it. There is substantial evidence that the HMD is a standard upgrade of this program as well as many items such as you listed & did not.
Regardless, this is no F-15C Baz Mashupar. It is not even a Baz.
it’s just a copy paste F-15C MIIP II that the American Tree received with the same underperforming engines.
They should at least give it the technology appropriate to its place in WT & BR. I will be content with the HMD & a fixed flight model that does not immediately shatter into pieces if you slightly roll while pitching. Also fix this weak thrust.
Let’s see what they decide to do.

Yea what Shini said is kinda true as people messed around with the unfinished model and made it flyable.
The Original model maker was not happy at all iirc.
