As of right now with Fox-1’s, yes, but that range will potentially become larger with Fox-3’s. Besides, 120A will still be better if fired at 15km - the only time R-77 will be considerably better will be sub 5km where acceleration and agility is key (even though 120A is still perfectly agile). The R-77 is arguably one of the worst Fox-3’s coming this patch.
Yeah, they didn’t: MiG-29G has the original targetting systems, so no 120s either.
Well… 27ERs will have to do then hahahah. I grinded Germany for the Typhoon anyway.

Having more range means that launching at those 15km gets you a higher PK, no one will be launching at 60-80km away because the missile will be so slow that any maneuver will be enough to defend

The way you picture it, R-77 will function as a radar R-73.
On the other hand, AIM-120 will continue to play the role of a longer range missile, typically associated to radar missiles.
In that case, I am fine with it, then! It’s just asymmetrical balance, where each has strengths and weaknesses.
I was fearful that R-77 would just straight up have been better in every way, hahahah.

Yeah Haguro is cool, I guess. But she’s just a tree version of a premium that’s been in the game for a while. Good ship, but like most of this patch, nothing new or too interesting.
Quite frankly if there isn’t something interesting for naval, new battleship or game mode changes or SOMETHING, I think I might just uninstall the game until next patch since I can’t even use the new A2A missiles either.
Its quite the boring patch so far.

Yeah, with only 2 aim-120s, which replace aim-9ms that are arguably more useful
