Yeah, with only 2 aim-120s, which replace aim-9ms that are arguably more useful
Oh,so 9M only with BOL,not separate
The french mica will be like a radar guided r-73 with some more range
The table also lists the AAM-4 to the left of the AAM-4B. The performance is almost the same as the AIM-120C-7, and the 4B is superior to the 120C-7.That is the difference between 中 and 大.
Not quite as cursed as the Mikoyan Project 1.44/1.42, but still a loveable chubster
The BOL-less 9Ls are the stock option afaik, and idk why you wouldn’t take BOL once it’s researched
Could be wrong, but i remember a much smarter person explaining it like this
Mig29’s would have to undergo so much of a redesign to use NATO ordianance that it would be more cost effective to build a new plane
Which is why I think we dont see any fulcrums with nato kits
To be fair, the American carriers are worlds above those of those with the other aims
It’s lazy since it’s already in the game. Just copy it over and thats it
No clue, they might be copy/paste, waiting for the missile sheet to be updated (and also probably a jaek video)
If that’s the case, it may be acceptable!
I haven’t be able to watch the live streams fully live, I am catching up just now, hahah.
Anyway, dev server should become available for download soon, and ready for entry in about a hour!
10 Super carriers rahhhhh
Hasn’t Ukraine had some NATO weapons integrated on their Russian kit?
Yeah I had that with this update so far as well. The last updates were kind off boring naval wise. But the new East German boat is right up my alley. The new Soviet one has funny torpedo launchers but overall it’s just another hydrofoil but with other armament. The torpedo launchers are anti submarine Torpedos right will they maybe get homing capatabilities?
mostly self-contained non-datalink stuff I think
The base AAM-4 is close to the AIM-120C-5, AAM-4B is at C-7 level. The source also references Jane’s and should therefore be viewed with some skepticism.
drinks all your fuel
Not as agile as an R-73, but still very agile for a non thrust vectoring missile haha
Essentially, in comparison to the 120A, the R-77 has: greater acceleration, greater initial pull, substantially worse range, substantially more drag, substantially worse agility over longer ranges (due to lower energy and a lack of a sustainer) and marginally worse guidance.
That’s not to say that the 120A has poor acceleration or initial pull though, because it doesn’t. A large portion of the time, a shot an R-77 could hit a 120A could equally hit, unless its for example a relatively high off bore shot. Therefore, 120A is definitely a lot more versatile and capable of hitting targets within a wider range of opportunity relative to an R-77.
Any info about Gripens getting Litening III?
Dont want to misinfo dump, but I think they’ve experimented with IR’s
I dont think anything radar guided though
Wouldn’t make much sense to since they’re looking to use F-16’s and other NATO vehicles
