Major Update "Ninth Wave" - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion (Part 3)

I think purchase date was in 2015, integration would’ve had to have happened before then

It is. However all F-16AM/C should have 120C-7 and they should also have 120C-8 for Belgium and Israel.

Right now they only have 120A (or B in the case of the Norwegian one which for some reason is the only one with B’s IIRC rn)

Edit for clarity : Sufa would get 120C-8 and Belgian F-16AM would also get C-8

Lemme double check hold on

Didn’t realize how odd that sentence is until I tried to say it out loud lol

(keeping in mind this is a game) while the AMRAAM is faster and has longer range, the PL-12 may have better initial maneuverability, which could account for the behavior you observed…

Tested in 2010 entered service in 2015.

So if you include testing 02 or 03-ish I believe for 120C-7 and 2010 for R-77-1?

Development for C-7 started in 98.

Edit: Words are hard

oh yeah I know the pl12 has immediate pull and a 3g extra pull i believe similar to the aam4 which also is essentially an AMRAAM c-5 but with instant pull allowing it to make those shots its just that the pl12a has a long burner and high instant pull allowing this to be achieved

it makes sense for it to do this it just sucks that the AMRAAMs true stats are still so unknown that despite the pl12 being almost a carbon copy design wise it far exceeds the AMRAAM in ingame capabilities…

We also don’t mention how 120C (and now D) doesn’t loft properly like it should either. The trajectory is pretty flat in game instead of arcing as much as it should

to be fair most missiles in game have horribly inaccurate loft profiles, cough cough hellfires for the last 5 years

Literally. If even half the jets that could carry 120C-7 got an accurately modeled 120C-7 and the D model was fixed it legit would only be like PL-12B/15/17/20 + R-77M/R-37M that could reliably counter it at a minimum semi-effectively (with this changing per missile ofc) for REDFOR

Unfortunately…

Example B - AGM-123 still can’t loft. It constantly falls despite being able to ascend IRL similar to HAMMER before coming back down.

Which reminds me -

Where are the bigger HAMMER’s?

Where muh fat Paveway? (GBU-11)

So much missing ordnance….

funnily enough, in the files. they’ve been there since Storm Warning.

He’s based on the 3000lb demo bomb (like what can be found on the thud)

Man…

Mirage 2000D RMV and Rafale would be so much funnier with the other HAMMERS as well.

we are missing so many paveway variants its not even funny. also the bomb that started it all the BOLT-117.

Indeed.

Wish I had my bunker busters on something other than just the F-117 (VARK VARK VARK VARK VARK)

Skyshark my beloved (Skyraider too - totally not my fav plane or a plane I have a FOIA open for - for a massive thing I’m working on)

the russians did make a glide bomb from a FAB-3000… kinda funny

Always confuses me when they dont add GBUs, its not exactly like they are a major balancing issue anymore (at least at higher BRs)
