oh in that case I don’t believe it has one in like the sidewinder way, similar to JDAM, and AMRAAM it seems to only have the acronym and the phrase said when firing which in its case is “MAGNUM”
man now I wish we had a name for the AMRAAM like “sidewinder” or “sparrow”

no one is capable of making gaijin do that if there was it would cause a rupture in time and space
to be fair did Japan make a ton of advancements from the mig25 thing like wasn’t the whole thing that it turned out to be a analog hell hole that was good at 1 job and was underwhelming for the west and NATO.
like don’t get me wrong i like the mig25 but that was already a old jet by its time imo, do wonder if its radar could cook popcorn though with its strength( can you cook food with a radar)
BOLT-117 and a few of the early paveway variants would be a nice addition to say an F-4D with pavespike at like 10.7/11.0 with AIM-7E/9J but gaijin has largely forgotten that Phantoms even exist so it will never happen.
(they cant even be bothered to give them proper cockpits)

it has a name, they call it slammer altough is not very known, altough i liked more the sparrow or sidewinder, naming them after animals was better
are you sure your not accidentally thinking of the agm-84 H/K cause that one has the name slam-er and i feel like that would be confusing
Edit: i just realised i misunderstood lol, I thought you were saying you found the agm 88 nickname, didn’t realise the AMRAAM had the nickname slammer that a pretty sick name.
