Personally I’m expecting it to be similar to AMRAAM at short range. Need to aim it first before firing.

had a j15 that was in a terrible position so went to bully him with the f18E and watched him fire a pl12a as seen in the image below.
it looked like it gave up pulling and went off the right of my screen next thing i know as i line up a aim9m shot i get a missile ping right behind me for a second then died. me and the guy had a good laugh man i wish the AMRAAM’s could do a fraction of that.

I believe the purpose of adding captured vehicles is to complement a lacking tech tree more than anything. But at least they should be banned in SIM

Nah, I love playing blue side vehicles on red and vice versa for sim.
For example I have been playing blue side su-30 for the past few weeks on sim and it’s super fun having r77s on blue side
we might get an accurate cockpit if i sent this beautiful high def image to gaijin

Man if only Russia/China wasn’t 20 years behind on missile development…maybe we could have proper AMRAAM but alas we cannot because they could only just semi-recently counter 120C-7 reliably with their own new missiles (R-77-1 deadass came out in 2015 nearly 30 years after base 120C and C-7 was introduced fully in 2003 💀)

AFAIK that is Meteor v AIM-120C, meaning that it accelerates slower which is one of the main issues of AIM-120C-5 in game
the turn at those lower speeds is yet to be seen though, i don’t know a lot about Meteor’s Turn performance, though there’s no guarantee it wouldn’t be gaijined anyway

I feel like its more an issue of despite the joke commonly about Chinese hackers and war thunder players lol, most US military details are still very, very well protected and classified because they have 50-60 year old tech being used by export customers its just kinda an unlucky coincidence that the tech was so popular.
