Has ECM been added to the WT?
Su-39/Su-25T have passive rear aspect IRCM.
I dont beleive its the only aircraft to have such IRL , but is the only one in-game.
Though hopefully radar based ECM will be coming soon™
French bug reporters:

Their service mostly not gonna be needed thanks to Gunjob.
Worst case scanario the meteor has mica seeker.
In other scenaeios probably even better, if devs are willing to implement a better one.
“We dont see how Meteor is better than Aim-54 and so we consider these primary sources a marketing lie”
lol
They did with the mica didn’t they?
That was more a fix if anything xD
haha, you want your new missile to be an upgrade to the one before it because its the highest jet for a nation, to baddd.
But like why, this is the 3rd AMRAAM addition that has not improved the AMRAAM, like WTH you know somethings wrong when you have 3 variants of the AMRAAM available on any top tier US jet and none of them offer a significant improvement over the original for actually playing the game so they have to keep every single previous option.
like the su30sm and sm2 only get the r77-1 because their missile was just a straight up upgrade, and the j10c and j15 could just get the pl12a despite having the pl12 as well because its literally a better pl12 since they can actually benefit from the no gimbal restrictions.
like gaijin stop adding AMRAAM’s please especially if your not gonna model internal changes, centre of gravity changes, and seeker improvements it is insane that after 2 years, this is the only of the 4 primary fox 3’s besides the mica to not get a better version and at least the mica is really good in the meta, and fun to play with, ( didn’t count the aam4 as it is essentially a better AMRAAM but I would love to see the aam4b lol).
like I don’t even need the AMRAAM to be good I have already got the mica and am grinding to Chinese top tier for the pl12’s I just want them to at the very least be enjoyable to use just let them pull off the rail again like the aam4 that’s all I ask please.
( does bring me to a side question, since I’m gonna finish the chines air tree soonish so is the ADTW f2 good for grinding Japan because I’m either gonna buy that when its on sale or am just gonna talisman the f5 squadron i have already, man I want those half decent AMRAAM’s as I do like the AMRAAM’s general AVERAGE capabilities for most things.)
do we just not know much data on other seekers as to get individual seeker types, cause I’m curious as to why only the mica got this fix.
You answered your own question lol.
Info on the seeker was publicly available → fixed
The Americans and everyone else is so hush hush about their stuff, so you won’t find information like that as easy.
At minimum, we know to expect similar seeker performance as MICA EM for the Meteor as a baseline, however there are likely to be different ECCM capabilities between the two (with the Meteor likely having better (even if slightly) jamming resistance).
yeah I assumed so, why was the mica seeker so accessible lol that’s what was always funny to me was it just a case of the French being French.
expected Scenario: MICA Seeker + ultra low Overload because “clear marketing lie” and “ramjet engine”
I can absolutely see them make it worse or equal to AIM-54s
maybe in terms of acceleration
outside of the inital boost stage to speeds where ramjet actually functions that is
should pull much better though
depending if gaijin actually models the variable motor or not (probably not but anyway), on full throttle, and how long that lasts, it will probably act like a Fakour at sufficient range as it will keep its speed
Its main shortfall is close range performance, which it will probably be worse than all but the Phoenix, just due to low acceleration alone
Truthnuke
If Meteor is in the game, then so will ASRAAM/IRIS-T/MICA IR. In such a case, “close range” won’t really be a problem anyways since Rafale has MICA EM/IR and Eurofighters/Gripen have AIM-120B or IRIS-T/ASRAAM to fall back on
You can expect to see much more varied loadouts between the three Eurocanards. 2 Meteors, minimum for BVR, 2 AMRAAM, 2 IIR missiles, etc.
I can’t think of any reason why Meteor would be worse than C5 currently is in WVR
Probably to do with its unique BTT and STT manoeuvring (it uses both).
In WT it could implement both in all BVR/WVR engagements, which means there will be a delay before it turns. Not like a guidance delay, but the missile has to “bank” first before it pulls, like a plane would.
Of course, Gaijin could implement in two-fold: one for efficiency (BTT), one for terminal/close range (STT; which is what other missiles do at present).
Good news to Israeli air mains, Derby got buffs to it and has more range now. Missile should also bleed less speed while maneuvering due to drag reduction
