Secondly, the r27er seeker itself is much more resistant to notching and chaffing than avg fox 3 seeker.
And fox 3 go active on rwr at around 10 to 15km, sarh missiles are alerted by rwr as soon as they are launched, which allows people to notch early, but doing that still leaves enough energy for the missile and not make it over shoot.
Not only that but people just launch r27er and break lock and let it glide through iog, and then relock at last moments not giving enough time to notch. This simply isn’t the nature of fox 3 missile, irl they are preferred to lock on jet asap.
It’s not registered under the Flygvapnet, so I don’t believe that’s correct, it’s owned by SAAB but it’s not registered under the air force to my knowledge. Only the newer models with the correct wings are registered.
The plane in game is a serries production Gripen E, that specific tail number is one of the ones owned and flown by FMV (Swedens defence material supplier) (Edit: now i got a bit uncertain of this claim, will double check). It isn’t an in service version but it also isn’t one of the pre-production prototypes.
that may be, that also partialy links to that this one was one of the once sweeden got in 2019 proberbly to make tests and sutch to make sure it was within criterias, tho that one is still a proper production variant
Reminds me of the Sepv2 dev blog when they tried to sell us that it was an upgrade over Sepv1. Granted it only took them 2 years to actually make Sepv2 worth taking.
Again then it’s name should be changed, it’s not a service Gripen with the Flygvapnet and it’s not a current production model given it’s an older 6002 model.
Yeah the F-15C GE had that and at least had BOL launchers giving it a funny amount of CMs.
All the bulletpoints listed for this F-16C are just absolute basics for top tier, hell if you go down the list this F-16C is among the worst for all of the listed things.
i love how people always say “its work in progress dude things can change” when the last 20 updates things did NOT change, and if they did, they changed for the worse
None of what you just said actually matters towards my point since i never said it would make the missile have more energy it would simply be an improvement to have a reconnecting datalink For example the aim 7P is harder to evade than the 7M because if you notch the missile but it hasnt passed you yet the launching aircraft can still relock and the missile will start tracking you again. also brining up the nature of fox 3s doesn’t matter here since reconnecting the datalink is something the missile can do irl anyways.
