@Smin1080p_WT Could you say whether the F-16C is going to be the full PoBIT upgrade with the CDU in the cockpit, AN/ALR-69(A)V, and JHMCS II/Thales Scorpion or is it just SABR that it’s coming with from PoBIT?

The blog didn’t make any mention of PoBIT or any of it’s upgrades except for SABR.

A collection of the more interresting statements made by BVVD during the “Ninth Wave” dev stream:

Aviation

  • 9-12 and 9-13 Mig-29s will be foldered.

  • Aim-120D stats are placeholder. More optimized for BVR and better autopilot uses less energy on long range targets.
    PL12A = Aim120D (?)

  • Missiles will be displayed on the minimap similar to Torpedoes.

  • No news about ARH missiles right now. Maybe in 2 months time but BVVD doesn’t want to promise anything.

  • Chinese aircraft carrier is in the works and will be similar to the Kuznetsov.

  • QUESTION: “You said earlier that 5th gens will come in 2Q2026, when other 4,5 gens will come.”
    ANSWER: “Addition of 5th gens doesn’t mean that we will stop adding aircraft of previous gen, as we are still adding even gen 0, you should understand that adding 5th gens takes a meaning, when there are no planes or techtree is filled enough or when new planes don’t add new.”

Ground Vehicles

  • White rock fortress topology is the same but terrain, textures and objects have been changed and moved.

  • Gaijin is trying to make optimization on new maps similar to old ones. Other maps will be reworked as well but the more popular ones are coming first.

  • New crew animations for tanks when moving caused by inertia to make animations look more lively.

  • New rocket for the new pantsir. It has AHEAD mechanic which only works if the target is locked on by radar. Can also work at super low altitudes. Detonation command is given by radar and shrapnel is only in front of the missile.

  • Smaller rockets for munition interceptions. One big rocket can be exchanged for 4 smaller ones.
    New mechanic to take different combinations of missiles for pantsir and every other vehicle. (?)

  • New Pantsir because the current Buk did not meet expectations and is the weakest top tier SAM according to server stats.

  • Tank/boat honking will probably not be added because it makes too much noise.

  • Headlights for tanks wont be added right now because there is no real need for them. Breaklights are a possibility.

  • ZTZ96B gets better engine. Gives it 17kph in reverse but is not final.

  • Ammo demonstartion for 20mm+ guns.

Naval

  • Response to questions from BVVD to viewers. Submarines are wip. hope and cope.

Still dont understand why Russia needs another top tier SPAA. Like why and where is the Patriot system at this point. They don’t need it.

Very much this since it appears to be DoA. Could have at least given it the IRIS-T since it can carry it.

Better engine theoretically but outright worse in terms of the added total weight, Radar that couldve just been planted on the current 13.7 F-16C and call that one the Block 52, 120Ds they couldve also just given the current C lol absolute joke

This is nice, I just hope they also keep adding physical element animations- like making rubber skirts be flappy, hanging cages swing, FINALLY ADD THE CHAINS ON THE MERKAVAS…

At this point, I will settle for anything that has any sort of impact in Ground Top Tier, even if just cosmetic.
