F-16C-PoBIT/F-16V History, Performance & Discussin

[Development] Rank IX Aircraft and the F-16C Block 52!
Okay so LJDAM is planned finally

Hi pls check this

It seems like the things do exist which proved by the armed sales contract US sign with Türkiye (Link1) and I just know that it got cancelled now

BUT there is a patent about the adaptor worked like TMLA do exist and it is possibly already become true according to that they does sign a contract to buy such a thing (Page 6 FIG. 2C in the Link 2)

Link 1: Federal Register :: Arms Sales Notification

Link 2: US10989497B2 - Multi-mission munition adapter - Google Patents

It might worth the consideration of the TMLA to be added since most of the planes that F16C blk52 about to face will have at least 7-12 missiles

While the 16 only got 6 missiles it will be a huge disadvantage when the battle comes to closer range that everyone is notching and try to supressing enemy with missiles

I think that it could be balanced with adding more drags or lower the max wing-break speed of the aircraft (like wings will break in lower speed with TMLA) or even make the BR higher

And thank u for reading this pls let me know if I need to attach more info

Aren’t these pylons unable to carry any Air-to-Air missile? Like basically you’d have to choose between a MAW + more CM and having your modest full missile count of 6.

Not until Monday

Yeah without the use of an MFRL or LAU-128SE it cannot mount missiles.

bruh i wanted to play the freakin PoBIT

It’s not a PoBIT according to what 1080p said: Major Update "Ninth Wave" - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion (Part 3) - #1886

“It’s just a block 52 “

Which is nonsense cuz it’s impossible to only upgrade the radar into SABR without upgrading other parts into PoBIT standard

Hi sry if I annoyed u but I want to know ur thought about the TMLA comment that I replied with

I’ll have a look in abit. I see you found the patent which is useful.

Ok!!! Thank u very much!!!
:))))

USAF PoBITs are still Block 40/42/50/52
There are structural differences between Block 40/42 and 50/52 which means all PoBITs cannot be upgraded to one universal standard, and so they don’t change Block designation.

The main problem is that the blk52 is able to mount most of the PoBIT upgrades on it however the 1080p said that it just a blk52 with SABR upgraded only which is impossible?

Yes but Gaijin aren’t calling it a PoBIT even though it has SABR which is a main focus of PoBIT.

It can’t have SABR without PoBIT since SABR isn’t a standalone upgrade for US F-16’s. It either has SABR and the rest of PoBIT or it doesn’t get anything. You can’t just pick what you choose from PoBIT it’s either all or nothing.

Yes that’s what I’m trying to said thx man

Bruhhhh hopefully BVVD will have it changed

Hope so hope so

What have they specifically said it wont have from a PoBIT though? Smin just says if it’s not mention in the devblog it doesn’t currently have it. He’s just avoiding committing to features that aren’t yet live.

The CPDU? The cockpit hasn’t been shown at all. Model might simply not be finished so it can’t be said the model currently has it - but from what I’ve seen, BVVD said in the Russian stream that it will have a new cockpit.
JHMCS/Scorpion? Devblog says it has a HMD without specifying what system it’s modelled after

Other parts of PoBIT are the SLEP, which isn’t anything that will concern War Thunder, and the new IVEWS system which isn’t even on operational USAF aircraft yet.

Perhaps a major thing that’s missing is an IRST21 pod. But even for the F/A-18F they haven’t shown if/how it works in the devstream, and never even mentioned it in the original devblog - it just happened to be there in the renders, and we assume it will be there and working by the time of the update.
So the same applies to the Aus Super Bug - it’s not really written about in the devblog or talked about the streams because it doesn’t currently have IRST21. Smin wont confirm or deny it will come with IRST21

And how the new F-16 currently still hasn’t been shown to have PIDS/PIDSU which would be a helpful addition. But that’s not a PoBIT or Block thing - it’s an ad-hoc operational fit that goes back to Block 30.
PIDS should be on the plain F-16C too - there’s a ticketed suggestion for it on the regular F-16C. If PIDS is under consideration for the vanilla F-16C then it’s wouldn’t be worth mentioning in a dev blog for the Block 52/PoBIT as a specific new feature of that plane anyway.
None the less, the current lack of it is a concern.

So so far, the new F16 has a worse engine, an AESA with the worst gimble, and 6 120Ds which are so far copy paste C5s and its placed at 14.3. The only way this is viable is if Gaijin massively buffs the 120D to have insane range and have better HOBS.

this would make the f-16c a bit more competitive

No no see its not copypaste because it has GNSS and 20s of extra battery time
This alone will clearly make US meta again trust
