The Merkava chain asset exists on the Namer, all gaijin has to do is take that, modify it onto the Mk4 & Mk3s then give it the same physics as Namer.
This isn’t some resource intensive mechanic, it’s a simple job even an intern could do, stop beating around the bush for some utterly pointless argument.

The main problem I have with next gen IR missiles is that they are not going to help close the gaps.
Ideal circumstances you buff every plane by the same margin, so the buffs cancel eachother out and the gaps stay the same. Worst case scenario the already better airframes get comparatively even better IR missiles (see EFT with ASRAAM/IRIS-T and Rafale with MICA IR) and the gap between vehicles will only increase.
However at the same time you also can’t add these missiles to one nation, or a few nations, before adding them to everyone else.
So I’m not sure if there even is a way to fix the imbalance at top tier without BR decompression. With the previous example in mind, the Super Hornet will always remain too mediocre to be at the same BR as let’s say the AESA EFT/Rafale/SM2. Since no matter what you give the 18E, the other mentioned planes will just receive something equally good or even better.

The only way I could see SH shine is with AIM-174B + external weapon bay with AIM-120s but that would obviously come with some improvements to other nation’s vehicles

Imo, the biggest issue at the moment is HOBS vs no-HOBS.
this would resolve that issue. I can see some heavy mitigation methods though, like:
- Hard lock range limits (15-20km?)
- No LOAL, so for over the shoulder stuff you would be limited to the gimbal of the seeker
- Way more vulnerable to flares than they should be.
That should stop them from being overbearing and help balance them all out fairly evenly, but we’d stop the situation of Rafale curbstomping because it is operating in a vacuum, even the Su-30 can do quite well in WVR because it doesnt need to line up the shot to fire first.
