Well France has an austrian ground vehicle and the austrian draken is basically just the J35D from all my knowledge so theres no harm in it going to any of them
Austrian Draken was the best variant for a2a and I think both France and Sweden could get it.

Even with HOBS it would still not be balanced. It would just shift from only the Rafale being stupidly strong to only the Rafale and EFT being stupidly strong. Planes that are already suffering like the 18E, F-15C GE and maybe J-10C (still not sure where that one will land in the power rankings) likely won’t profit nearly as much from those missiles.
EDIT: I hate having to mention the Super Hornet so much, as it feels like I sound like a broken clock, but it truely is one of the best examples this update.

I just dont see another option though.
Either leave everything with Aim-9Ms and there will be imbalance from difference in FM (this is impactful because Aim-9M doesnt like any amount of HOBS in my experience)
or
give everyone some version of their IIR missiles and whilst the FM difference wont change, they would at least have more options in a dogfight (like the F-18 can beat a Typhoon in a 1 circle, but will loose if it misses with guns on that first pass. Aim-9X would give it another option)

I’m not against new IR missiles and stuff, the main thing I want though is the mystical BR decompression.
I have no problem with a top tier plane being mediocre in game because it doesn’t translate over well from IRL into the game, hell I also don’t mind Gaijin releasing planes that are just straight up better in updates. However please Gaijin just let the BR reflect this.

Thinking about this now - adding carriers as spawn options for naval aircrafts would prob fix 150% issues with the Hornet for me. Not even joking. I would ignore everything else thats bothering the airframe

I’m unhappy because it’s a comparatively tiny change that provides a large cosmetic and realism improvement.
Compare this to the amount of random mechanics, graphics overhaul, model changes and the likes (eg RDF/LT receiving smoke launchers this dev) that take longer on average than this would, being prioritised every patch, on top of the relentless merkava nerfs and it’s reasonable to be upset.

It’s comedic that they say a game with 200k+ active players would struggle cuz of a >10 second “waiting for match” screen ( it wouldnt)
