does this work?

Czechoslovakia and Poland exported more vehicles to east Germany than they imported from Germany

You are right, they basically said that they “Nearly” doubled the range. So, thats can’t be more than 2 times more and its not even 2 times more.

Sounds like it really is a modification of an existing radar with “Nearly doubled” range. 250km or something, I guess?

-“We practically doubled the range of the radar in comparison with 30SM. For ground targets, naval targets, air targets, every type of them.”
-“2 times more?”
-“Yes, nearly 2 times more”

So I did a bit more selective searching and from what I’m gaining is that the Bars-R is fully Russian with Russian electronics compared to the Bars on Su-30SM and the export frames, this also includes scan upgrades but not so sure about scan angles.

Edit: it also has more processing power.

Also I watched the video, it’s still vague.

And we restricted by just Cold War stuff?

what do you mean by that?

SM2 so peak

Just saying that it doesnt really matter since it still comes to the same place - updated Soviet designs, whatever big arms exporters exporting and local attempts to make something unique (which is mostly IFVs, for some reasons… seriously, why everyone trying to make one at some point?)

Countries make their own IFV’s because they can? Whats the point of buying something from another country if you can make something better?

I don’t want to cause an argument or anything, but could you explain to me why you find that a Central-Eastern European tech tree is the best option? Because people are always talking about this but it never makes mcuh sense to me

well we have all that thankfully

They both are scanning out to 400km though. They are likely just in different scan sector modes in this image. The N011M has a scanning sector of ±70 degrees in azimuth and ±45 degrees in elevation. The elevation angle is not visible in the second picture, however all other parameters are. So this cannot be used as evidence that one is using the N011M, and the other isn’t.

Not just independence, but actual security. Sanctions can’t break your army supply if you produce arms in your country.

Depends on whether your country has access to the raw materials needed.

well where are gonna get the resource ? buy them. sanction will be put on the country that sold you the resource, now no one want to sell you.

of course there is china but lets put it a side

Random question, what exactly besides the engines does the SM2 overhaul/upgrade over the base SM? So i know what to be excited for besides not being a turtle anymore
