They should just model all 5th gens with the same exact RCS to avoid issues, since they’re not going to be accurate anyways.

its trm count is a bit low, 1500~ trm which might struggle, yes TRM isnt everything but you cant stress your trm to output a lot of power in comparision to that
But again, that was with a extremely old prototypes, its been like 15 years for that, or around 10 years till it came into service. much couldve changed

wouldnt a worse quality track make it easier to use countermeasures against it and easier to jam should we get ECM?
anyways how trustworthy even is stealthflanker? look at real world combat and its clear what fighters are on top

Meh, I can get that they think the J-35 is a copy and stuff because it really looks like a F-35, but in this case you can’t just claim its a copy. Just, look objectively at the F-22 and then look at the J-20. The only thing they have in common are stealth, and everything required for stealth. DSIs are also on the J-10, diamond wing is a basic of stealth, canted tails are a basic of stealth, missile bays too, etc etc. And you can’t really find any other true common point without a lot of imagination. So no, saying the J-20 is copied from the F-22 isn’t fair
They did a true effort in designing a unique aircraft tailored for their needs

maybe the airframe was independent but at least some of the tech on it is stolen. i mean, look at the Z-20 and KJ600 (E-2 in PLAN livery lol), and apparently they inspected and took parts of the downed F-117 in Serbia
- They copypasted others aircrafts
- They used tech from a heavily outdated stealth aircraft to develop their aircraft
Conclusion: they stole F-22 stuff to make their aircraft

never said F-22 specifally, but stuff like downed F-117 and maybe inspected general stealth features from the raptor probably contributed a lot to the J-20
I meant more like Rafale, EFT, F-2 and so on. Maybe another lower modifier for aircraft like on F-16C that also have some RCS reduction (but even more limited).
But as nice as individual RCS for every aircraft, I also don’t think it will happen. My guess is we’ll have a set of non-stealth (current) and stealth RCS modifiers. Even having a separate low visibility set for late gen 4s seems a bit like wishful thinking.
Also if I understand the current RCS modifier system right, this system would make the F-35 the most stealthy due to being the smallest stealth fighter. Unless they add the X/F-32 that is.
