Yes it is it’s literally just sending targeting data from your radar to the missile. Our current ARH use DL to guide in before the fire and forget active seeker activates

If that’s true, then why do many SAM systems use it? DL is precise enough, it just isn’t the main mode on AAMs because aircraft don’t always have the luxury of continuously tracking their targets.
iam just saying that the DL will not help much if the missile gets blinded by LDIRCM

Its not much aircraft left, try to type it here lets see. Its all just this 4.5gen aircraft left. For example its F-16 with better characteristics and thats it. Its just numbers in game code, nothing fancy to add there, even “game model is same”
they still use different guidance for the terminal phase
for example the IRIS-T SLM
or the SLAMRAAM

Not all SAMs use terminal guidance. Many use command guidance, which literally relies on the targeting radar to guide the missile in all the way.
4.5 gens yet to come could introduce iir fox2’s and new type of munitions like cruise missiles,maybe even albm’s
There’s also gen 3s and gen 3.5s that could make for a good transition between generations but nah.
SCLOS is different from DL
the missile follows a beam emitted from the radar, from my understanding
so it is similar to a SARH missile in that sense
DL is sending a position signal to the missile itself and the missile goes to the sent coordinates
yeah they have a 2 way datalink which should make it really deadly when paired with how strong PIRATE should be
