Oh thats good, I mean APDS and FB10A

The physical model and the missile launcher elevation limit is still incorrect but the FB-10 and FB-10A was added last Friday I belive

APDS is still missing but I belive it’s also been accepted gonna go check

The turret is modelled roughly 50cm backwards, and the elevation is stuck at 20deg, not sure of the changes though

Hull plate is likely just to implement sinking, it does worry me a touch as Rodney’s hull plates are also very weak leading to regular flooding. I imagine this is Gaijin’s way of balancing British ships’ incredible internal layout, as otherwise you could shoot above the waterline but probably only hit dead space unless its a diving shell.

I dont know if im dum dum, but inst the 18km launch range pretty much canceled by having only 12km lock range (That is also a rear aspect) So technivally only 9km?

@Smin1080p_WT

please dont forget to mention this cutie to the devs!!

we need our wiesel to be complete tooo

Well I haven’t been able to test it since i don’t have it yet and I only play WT solo so no one to test it out with.

But theoretically it should be able to launch with just a radar lock and use DL untill the IR seeker can get a lock. (IRL don’t know about in game)

Ahhh, i see. Thanks…well so far from what i seen from other people, the new SAMs are pretty bad

I wouldn’t call them bad tbf. People for some reason expect Gaijin to add SPAA that’s completely undefeateable. Which obviously isn’t a good idea for game balance

Im not worried even slightly.

All i was expecting a SAMs that would be able to combat top tier CAS and not more same 12km range SPAAs that we already have in game with lil bit more G

Personally I’m quite satisfied with the new US AA system, it’s the only one I’ve been able to test though.

The combination of AIM-120 for range and AIM-9X for up close fills all the gaps.

My only complaint is that it can’t shoot down incoming missiles, like at all. Maybe this is WIP and not finished.

Literally 1 day ago. I get you’re probably referring to the old one that got reversed.
Also FB10A still should be 17km and not 12, and there is no DL rn.

I mean currently on the dev the Slamraam, Spyder and SLM seem pretty mediocre. Like they are pretty easy to deal with for CAS as their range seems pretty limited. However they also still seem super heavily wip.

Yeah. No one is even mentioning the Elde lol, nor the CSSA5 cause these are the rather ‘normal’ ones. They work even worse.

What is the max effective range on the Slamraams 120Cs from playing it? I have seen most people state about 12-16km.

Sounds about right, but I’d have to test more to say confidently

What I really like about the platform is how you can cruise around with the radar vehicle (it’s pretty small) and stay hidden while the attacker focuses on your launchers. This buys some time, but mostly only works on large maps

I managed to take out helicopters at over 8km range with AIM-9X, and pretty reliably. According to my buddy it didn’t show up on MAWS. The only warning he got was the smoke trail at time of launch, which I’m fairly confident the 9X is not supposed to have anyway.

It gets there but quite slow by then, still, better than the rest of IR missiles.

I would. Spyder has a 4km min range and 8km max range on it’s Derby’s lmao.

Even Python basically just feels like a vertically launched Strela rn.

The FB-10A has 18km range atm?
