Interesting, I don’t know all too much of the German rubbish. Keep my awareness around the French and Swedish stuff with some consideration for pommie stuff, regarding air.
Germany does not have access to any 1000lb GPS guided bombs
It’s probably the twin mounts.
No Mk 83 JDAMs?
They don’t have twin mounts for the GBU-38?
GBU-48s.
Britain doesn’t get them.
only GBU-54, mk82
Apparently not
oh yea, but I thought Britain has them also?
Britain has Paveway 4, very similar in function to EGBU series
Nope, we have a 1000lb laser guided bombs with No GPS.
It’s weird cherry picking. Niche but would be useful to have the option
Laser guided bombs are kind of rubbish in almost every use case, compared to GPS/Laser. To clarify, only GPS is also kinda rubbish, but at least does have some very good use cases.
Yep, it’s niche but annoying
And yet France, Germany and UK have the most of them. But not the US even though we make/design all of them (through Raytheon and Boeing), and made the first one.
I am more or less certain that the laser/gps guided AASM is French designed, sir.
Yeah, Typhoons are also missing some gps weapons, would be nice to have GBU-31 especially
Eurofighter Typhoon missing GBU-31 JDAM
Eurofighter Typhoon missing GBU-32 JDAM
They use EGBU too no? GBU-48, etc
GBU 24 or BGL 1000 are the only heavier bombs that are guided. BGL is French.
Maybe I am thinking of m2k RMV armament? I know there was a laser+gps GBU somewhere in france
Right, I just completely forgot there’s something on the centreline other than those 2 because why would I take something other than the AASMs.
GBU 50/48 on that plane alone in the tree, only on the centreline.
