it doesnt make that much difference honestly cause you could just pop infinite flares in 1v1 fights so should have been 12.7

Only in rear-aspect at about 1-1.5km.

In front or side aspect, they have equal flare resistance to an Aim-9L and in rear-aspect past about 2km, they are fairly trivial to defeat. Especially with pre-flaring.

In which case, not all that OP at 12.0. Yes it has 2x Magic IIs, which are probably the best IR missiles on a supersonic airframe at this BR, but… France has no Aim-9L equivalent. which is why its non-optional. But they also have one of the most limited AAM counts on a supersonic airframe at this BR at just 2+2 with the optional but generally not worth it 2+3 fit. and one of the weakest SARH at that BR by quite a margin.

It also has a pretty poor RWR and a fairly limited radar. All-in-all. A fairly balanced aircraft for 12.0

F-22 will definetly need to be about 13.0 due to lack of HMD

Oh, in which case, better than Aim-9G (at least that is what the RN considered going into the Falklands) but nothing much to right home about. A fairly average rear-aspect missile for the most part

Nah, 9Ls slaps it silly, unless in a rear-aspect shot in a hard turn fight, at which point, the higher G missiles like Magic 1 and R-60 come into their own. But then thats just employing the 9L incorrectly rather than it being inherrently bad.

only time you really need all aspect is at gun range so

For various reason, maybe you’ve not gotten your guns to bear or want to hit the target before getting into gun range. A short range, late fired R-60 or Magic II is pretty potent and very hard to defend against.

exactly the only time i have trouble dodging these things is when im in a dogfight with more than one plane as they can just boom and zoom and i dont have many flares as im a F4-J so preflaring ends with early death
