M1.5 for supercruise is what you’ll generally find for the program requirements and/or operational supercruise speeds, although M1.6 is seen at times. So yes, about M1.72 up to M1.84 at an 15% extra.
Some pilots did claim they achieved M1.7-1.8, yes.
As for max speed, well, being completely honest with you, engine thrust itself doesn’t seem to be the problem for the Raptor. It looks to be the aerodynamical sacrifices that had to be made to maximize stealth, the biggest factor might just be the fixed-geometry inlets, at some point the inlets just can’t deal with the supersonic flow anymore, and from that one can expect bad stuff happening such as compressor stalls. IIRC there were some quotes from people on the program saying the theoretical aerodynamical maximum speed was calculated at M2.4-2.5, but I don’t remember reading anything on the plane being taken to those speeds.
Edit: oh, sorry, on the EF2K, I really don’t know, I never read much about it.
Two issues that are popping up for me after this info.
Given that I only have the F-16C in the US techtree and I never researched the F-14 tree nor the f-15 tree, it’s going to be a long way to go for a US F-18C late. Rather not going to happen.
The second issue on this, I did not research the Sweden air tech tree. I go exactly 1 premium aircraft, which was an award. In order to get the F-18C will take me a long time either. Sadly, the finnish F-18 is the one that is closest to the Swiss F-18C, initial batch, which did not yet have the F-18E/F cockpit. This is the one I will go for.
unfortunately it was made by the french and every once in a while you’ll look at something in the game and go “everything is so awesome and perfect, WHAT IS THIS?” and not in a “haha meme unit” way, in a “these people are mongoloids” way.
Hmm if that german ship is the one I’m seeing, would it be now technically the oldest machines in game? far older than Japanese Armoured Cruisers in terms of laid down dates (which beat HMS Dreadnought by a few months).
Now it seems that China’s TT was only created for aerial combat. Even with China’s own aircraft, Gaijin has no intention of producing Chinese air to ground missiles for them to assist in ground combat. We can only fight against L2A7V and BVM with our clumsy 99A and VT4 in ground combat, and can only watch other countries comfortably and happily use ASSM/AGM65/KH38, while gaijin does not allow China to have anything comparable to it. I suggest Gaijin remove the land warfare section of the Chinese TT instead of letting new players waste time on the 99A.
