I dont think they had an overly excessive fuel consumption but rather a fairly limited internal store of fuel and external tanks had a notable impact on performance.

In the SHars case. Biggest issue was lack of look down radar and limited weapon stores. As well as the lack of supersonic flight.

The Speed was only an issue when pursuing a supersonic enemy.

Its fuel endurance time in a dogfight would be considered at least 3X greater than threat aircraft of similar era.

In the Shars case the only draw back would have been look down radar and stand off weapons as @Morvran just stated.

However by the time of the FA.2 the only limitation was weapons carrying capacity.

Greatest of all was the MODs lack of cash lol.

I am thinking about creating another tread specific to VIFF but I have made so many threads I dont know if I should.

The Sea Harrier FA.2 even at 13.0 would be very dangerous in dogfights if VIFF was modeled.

Lol If the Harrier was accurate it would have 4th gen performance at 9.7

I think you should make one. Gaijin might not bother changing anything but it doesn’t hurt to try.

I think I have started to get to them they are doing a massive buff this next major.

However its still not even close to IRL lol.

The harriers feel good in thrust vector mode from what i can tell in the dev server

Add the BOL to the T.10 and honestly this is the greatest update, ever?

KFir C.10 got its window fixed!
Harriers got a flight model fix (actually usable now!)
And we got a trainer harrier

So far its almost perfect

They are better in Thrust vector at mode but its still legit not even half as effective as IRL.

The Harrier could generate AOA up to 60 degrees controllably and Hit 19 degrees a second ITR at just 400 knots. This is only the Harrier 1.

Real. Its still not IRL levels of performance, but its a good start.

IR signature is the big one for me to be fixed this year. Truly absurd how this isnt a major concern for the dev team, but ido recal someone saying its in the pipeline!

From the Stern a Harrier burning on full power could flare an AIM9L every time.

Ingame it stuggles against the gimped seaker!

Yessir.

A single pop of a flare should defeat an AIM9L seeker rear aspect within a 100 degree arc…

thats why I suggested limiting it to only 6 missiles, the same as the KH38MT, and yes while the missile in its ARH mode has superior tracking, it still lacks the range speed and warhead of the KH38, unless you guys are planning to add the Brimstone 2 which would at least solve the first 2 issues

They should have just added the Brimstone 2 to begin with, the Brimstone 1 feels like strapping 20 AIM-9Bs to an F-15 and calling it balanced at 14.0

Well i know for sure that i will choose anytime and anyday my Beloved Stormer HVM over the others.
Its just so satisfying clapping the Birds out of the sky with it and even more when i slaughter anything Light armored or get the ocasionall MBT Kill (Leo 2s, T72/80, M60 with ERA got clapped at least one time by me with it XD)
