2 wrongs dont make a right my guy, besides the AGM-65 is right there and does the exact same thing, the last thing we need in GRB is even more CAS destroying the game when we still havent gotten a single top br SPAA for a western nation
Dont even bother carrying 18 with 120s and IR missiles the Typhoon becomes heavy! Compared to the Russian, French and US jets that use up all their ground attack munitions in one go. The Typhoon is carrying those Brimstones for a while!
So what we just leave russia and france as the only nations with very long range munitions? I agree neither should be in the game but if 1 is the other has to be
and then Brimstones can get their FnF mode to balance it all out, given that they have terrible range and a century long flight time
I mean, the US has the AGM-130 and Britain has the PGM 500/2000 and ignoring the Pantsirs range (the thing can shoot down all kinds of A2G weapons anyways), the Mavericks can outrange all other nations SAMs as well
So now we’re equal except for the airframe, which is terrible, yay
dont tell him that it ruins his argument for more OP CAS))))
Just bring Mavericks on the Gripen then?
Eurofighter??
The issue with the AGM-130 is you only get 2 and after they stop burning they are incredibly slow. As for the PGMs just suck the Hammers are way better and were what I was referring to as france having long range weapons as I have managed to get 20+ km range shots. Along with this the AGM-84E has the advantage over the AGM-65 that is has GPS and IOG so if it loses its target itll just keep going to the sane spot instead of going dud along with this because of its engine it will just keep going. I love AGM-65s but I want the AGM-84E and think as long as the Kh-38MT is in the game it is justifiable to add the SLAM.
Sorry, What am I looking at in that screenshot?
And yes, most likely on the FA2. I want to say something was mentioned after last major update. But thank you for letting me know it’s arrived will check it out
So, Britain’s equivalent to the F-15E/I, SU-34 and SU-30 is:
The Tornado, with no ability to defend itself, no ability to maneuver and 4 very slow, very visible rocket assisted bombs, or 3 of them and some pretty terrible laser guided missiles
The Gripen with 4 slightly better missiles, but still very limited ability to defend itself compared to rivals
And the Typhoon with a lot of really bad, laser guided missiles.
And it gets worse if you’re Germany or Italy where you’re stuck with bombs and only bombs on your Tornado
Fixing Brimstones fixes all the issues with Britain, Germany, and Italy’s CAS though, and given that the whole dynamic of CAS vs SPAA is screwed in ground anyway, I don’t see why they shouldn’t be
I really think sweden should have gotten the later F/A-18C
You know the AGM-84E is even slower than the Mavericks, right?
Plus, it would only be available on the F/A-18 and taking more than 2 of them would severely limit the amount of A2A missiles you can bring.
I get that you would like to have something with even more range, but the issue of the Pantsir countering all other nations A2G and of the Kh-38MT outperforming all other A2G options isn’t fixed by giving out more long ranged, but ultimately weaker A2G weapons to every nation. The solution is to nerf the Kh-38MT and the Pantsir.
For sure, the reason they gave for not doing it too was that they didn’t want to have to model a new cockpit for it, absolutely ridiculous
If they could get surface skimming missiles right then it would be pretty good, same with the Penguin tbh, it’s got a radar altimeter for a reason
I wasn’t even trying to join in on the Brimstone discussion, but as long as the Typhoons and Tornado GR4 could carry their insane amount of Brimstones, they really shouldn’t get FnF capability.
If they were limited to 6 on the Typhoons and the Tornado GR4, sure, but not while they can carry 18 or 15 respectively. And even then, the FnF capability shouldn’t be modeled to the fullest extent.
Yeah that sounds about right for Gaijin. Why do the extra work when you can always C&P then delete a few things? Should be Gaijin’s slogan.
Luckily we have Su-33 now
