agreed. I quite like winning in the underdog plane and a F14 isn’t that at all. a decent pilot will still dominate
blocking bombs because i wanted to use aim 120 before my sidewinders is so damn annoying
Im working on a suggestion for modeling switching the aircraft from Air to air mode to air to ground mode.
The idea being that when in A2A mode, you can only select A2A weapons, sight settings and radar modes.
Same principle for A2G mode.
Meaning when in combat, you dont have to deal with systems you dont need.
Had this the other day in the Typhoon, wanted to swap between Aim-120 and Aim-9M but had to cycle through Brimstones and PW4s first, was not helpful.
as for bomb series with weapon selection. I just want them to fully intigrate bomb series into ripple modes. So all options are avaiable for both methods
Did not realise that, figured it was just gaijin being wierd.
This is why you dont use wiki (and only read the first paragraph):D
Really? That’s the first time I’ve heard that
A general rule of thumb seems to be that ASRAAM has up to 6x the effective range of Sidewinder in the front aspect and 3x in the rear aspect.
thats bloody incredible.

Interesting, what website did you grab that from? Does it have a link to the photographs of the mock-ups it mentions?
That’s from Wikipedia.
bro its wikipedia lol
Oh… guess I won’t be learning much from that as their sources go to nowhere lol
the one issue with wiki is that they link sources which nobody can proof read
Well, when it comes to military stuff it’s usually either books that may or may not include reliable information (cough Janes cough) or webpages that have been taken down long ago and also may or may not include reliable information lol
basically where WT used to get its info when it didn’t just steal from WoT (panther 2 cough cough)
Fair lol
Anyways, I’m looking at the listed source for the photographs on the wayback machine right now and there sadly are no pics :(
Guess I did learn something from this though, the SRAAM is not the Taildog, but rather a younger relative of the Taildog
Wingtip pylons??
Sign me up!!
Unironically shouldve been the eastern EF counterpart in WT
In an alternate universe where WT exists and contains vehicles like the EAP maybe lol
