I supposse it’s mostly because of the warships- as far as I can remember, we built and sold;
-5 destroyers to Norway
-3 destroyers to Australia
-2 LHDs to Australia
-2 LHDs to Turkey
-8 Corvettes to Saudi Arabia
And, apparently, Australia is interested in purchasing 11 destroyers of a new class.
It’s funny- Spain isn’t really relevant in the land/air fields, but we have an enormous presence in the warship industry.

Sweden never owned the AH-64 or T-80, they simply trialed and returned them.
The Thai ordered F-18s all started construction after a full initial payment, but had to be cancelled due to the Asian Financial Crisis. Still, the Thai specific aircraft were fully completed and put into service with USMC (also offered to Kuwait, but rejected).
The initial payment worth of nearly two complete F-18s at the time was also not returned, so it’s not weird to say Thailand deserve an F-18 they paid for

and Iran has f-14’s that we didn’t sell to their current government

also Thailand never got the f/a-18’s even prepared to be shipped out to them and didn’t receive any training for them so that probably has alot to do with it

Not for lack of trying. They were full on F-18 customers until the Asian Financial Crisis forced them to cancel the deal since they wouldn’t have been able to complete further payments. They were however fully made for Thailand, who already paid more than one complete aircraft.
As for in game, it would be somewhat different from US variants as well (maybe similar to the A+/early C premium), with the 1997 Hornets not yet having HMD that both tech tree variants will likely get.
