Well, same can be said about “F-16/F-15/SU-27 with more missiles”…
It’s just how war machinery development and evolution works.

I do agree with the SAM systems, they are much needed. also unique chassis and major upgrades to vehicles or different weapon systems are cool and needed. but nobody even wants another T72 or Type 10 if theyre just more of the same.
Precisely! About half of the tanks in the list could be implemented already, while the other half is: “these aren’t ready yet, but will be ready by the time we have already added the ones that can be added”.

I feel like for Japan it’d be better to just list the Thai Oplot-T and VT-4, since 99-0240 just adds mine roller plates to what would then be the 3rd functionally identical Type 10, while both the 48t package and APS integration are either not publicly revealed or just not done yet. They can still be included, but with a “(soon)” like the M1E3

Oh, yeah! Back when I made this, 10 months ago, we still did not know Japan was going to get that subtree, so I did not include it. As you said we now got even more options via newly announced subtrees.

Perhaps I will do an updated and slightly different list!
This time, without far future additions, since it can be confusing since most people believe that I listed them as if they could be implemented already. Or maybe separately with such disclaimer.
The point will always remain; Ground has NOT run out of potential additions. And if people consider that “just another Leopard does not count”, then neither should “just another F-15/16/SU-27/Grupen/etc”.
I could also add SAM systems, IFVs, LTs, and other vehicles.

I like doing these things, hahah. I also did one for Naval, much longer ago (2 years ago);
I like it because War Thunder’s life cycle, basically, relies on new content being added periodically. So I like to have a slight notion of: “how much more content have we got left till the game runs out of possibilities?”
And I was gladly surprised that, just in terms of Ground Top Tier, we got easily 6 more years; and, by then, we will probably have even more real life stuff to add as well. Add all other tiers and Air, and we probably have 8 years worth of content still.

dev server always comes after the dev stream (same day or the day after), since we didn’t have one yet, vice versa there is no server. Expect the stream to be this friday, possibly next week tho.

Yeah, I bet it is fun. Honestly air would just be 17 different flanker variations and 12 and 13 different F16 and F15 variants.
