Friday most likely

Probably Friday but it’s not confirmed

Hope this longer term ends soon, Isreal never had potent toptier spaa and u feel it more than ever with the lovely CAS powercreep last year.

Come to think about it…

Yesterday, we compared Modern vs WW2 ground additions in 2024; 7 vs 28. Huge disparity.

However, the disparity between Modern Ground vehicles and Top Tier jets is even more enormous. Let us compare:

Modern Top Tier (11.0-12.0) vehicles:
-Leopard 2A7HU
-Leopard 2A6NL
-Leopard 2A5NL
-Leopard 2A4M CAN
-Al-Khalid I
-Namer Trishkon
-HQ17
Total: 7

Modern jets (13.0-14.0):
-Kfir C.10
-SU-33
-Eurofighter Typhoon (x3)
-Rafale C F3
-JAS-39C (x3)
-JF-17
-J-10A
-F-16C Barak II
-F-14A IRAF
-SU-27SM
-J-11A
-F-16AM
-F-16A
-F-15J(M)
-F-15C MISP II
-Baz Meshupar
-F-4F KWS LV
-AV-8B+
-SU-25SM3
-MIG-29
Total: 24

Like… bro. Rank VIII Ground made its “big debut” in December 2023, and we’ve only got 5 Rank VIII vehicles (2 of which are copy-pastes of former Rank VIIs we had since 2019) since then; meanwhile, Air Top Tier has got 24!!! planes…

And it appears the first update of 2025 will once again be disproportionately focusing on Air Top Tier…

Low Tier Ground got 28 vehicles; Top Tier Air got 24… and Ground Rank VIII only 5 after its “big debut” back in 2023.

I believe it should be understandable that Ground Top Tier enthusiasts are beginning to feel frustrated about being shifted like this. Specially when, leaving aside new additions, 90% of the already ingame ones have bugs, issues and inaccuracies still unresolved after a very long time… it feels like it’s practically abandoned. Which is why I get triggered when I see people saying that “Gaijin put too much focus on Ground Top Tier”, because it’s just not true.

It never fails to surprise me the irony that can be had in the same post by some people, ask for unique stuff, also asks for C&P…

I guess Gaijin likes air more.

There is no winning every battle unfortunately ))

was it specifically leaked?

Have the developers shared any response to the LRF, stabiliser, thermal imager, or missing APFSDS of the Marder Clovis? The brochure says it should have these things.

WT started off as an air combat game

When we have full details to share on them we will. Many aspects are still in progress and subject to change, as the blog states.

“Started off as an air combat game”… and 6 months later tanks were already unveiled and on closed Beta test; and just a few months later it already had tanks xd.

It’s not like it was “a plane game where tanks were an afterthought”, as some have suggested.

Tanks were always planned, they simply took a little longer (few months) because they had to begin development from scratch, while the air portion was essentially ported from Birds of Steel.

The code in the game suggests otherwise )))
A lot of the tank codes in game are still using air related codes, even down to calling tank crews as “pilots” iirc, so it’s safe to say tanks were an afterthought that came about sometime between development and existing.

And ?
Tanks are a big part of the game for years now.

Nah

An afterthought of a few months between the game’s first beta release and the Ground Forces reveal…?

And somehow, in just those few months, Gaijin already had enough Ground material prepared for showcases and trailers?

Ground Forces were already in Closed Beta just 1 year after the Air Beta ; November 13rd, 2013. And all of it didn’t just spawn out of thin air.

I’m sorry, but I really, REALLY hate the notion/argument that “War Thunder is a plane game with tanks added as afterthought” because it diminishes the importance and relevance of Ground xD
