France had just come out of a complete national collapse, the US was at its peak, if we’re comparing wars in Indochina
But for a US invasion of France, France has home advantage, and I don’t think the US could win that fight on its own or even gain air superiority if I’m being honest. It’s hard to wage war overseas, and I think the US tends to overestimate itself.
So… hopefully a F-2…
Otherwise Japan will only receive a 3.3 bluewater ship with the IJN Matsu (sister ship is the IJN Momi which is 3.3).
That would be an even worse update for Japan then it usually is…
Considering the US has about the same amount of F-22s as the French air force has fighters. I doubt they could.

Missile can be defeated, EAWACS airframes can be destroyed losing that coverage.
There will be a need to be able to defend WVR
France doesn’t really have the military might to resist the might of the U.S… The U.S. would take casualties, but unless France pulls a Ukraine and starts arming its citizenry for a long guerilla war it wont last more than 6 months.

I think it would be nice to have an option for this type of equipment to swap out the 30 rounds of regular CM for the 15 rounds of larger caliber CM.

Oh yeah there’s also this lol we have so much more fighters in our airforce and that doesn’t even include our navy and stealth so yeah there’s that.

The limiting factor is…PEOPLE they make silly mistakes! Give two capable very advanced AI the US and French military…and see who wins…nukes off the table, my money on Merica
I mean, the French wouldn’t surrender like they did in WWII, that was a blip, not the norm, the French are feisty people, with the 2nd most successful military history of all time, and a strong national identity, they don’t go down easy
I think the French would win… by a long shot (i’m European, so France does not exist, but in this case, i must defend France)
