France worked then on the Mirage 4000 wich could have been probably a better F15 if US didn’t destroyed it’s potential sells, Mirage 4000 was superior of the F15s on some stuff at it’s time.
It’s a sad story that this plane didn’t entered production.
Buut it served as good base for the Rafale so it’s great.
i dont realy see a need to for that, its completly different circumstances, the “uk” one isnt unique in the first place which would lead to this, boxer one primarily makes more sense
Technically these were more than just trialed, but actually won the contract, started payment and all 8 airframes were completed (even if put in USMC service instead due to the Asian Financial Crisis). That would make them a lot more suited than trialed and proposed vehicles we already have.
That being said…
Only if it doesn’t cause any more delays with the F-2 than we already had!
Yeah, I think the Typhoon can do 8 AAM + 2 Storm Shadow, and will soon be able to do 6 AAM + 18 Spear 3, as an improvement to the 18 Brimstones it currently has, until the GBU-53 it was the better CAS aircraft, but the cruise missile compliment is less competitive
But yeah, as a jack of all trades it is still an incredibly good aircraft, it has had IRST from the start too, and F-16 levels of agility
USA were afraid of its arrival on the market, so they opened up the US market to countries that didn’t have this access and had their eye on the Mirage 4000, how you call that if that’s not something made to stop this plane life ?
Also France is today the 2nd weapons seller in the world and was 3rd for some decades before, so i don’t see how you can say something like French stuff don’t sell.
Yea i dropped Wows because of that. If that its the only tier i would play of course its a massive problem. After that i didn’t even touch WoT again and i used to play a lot of League/tournament in wot.
