Reco vehicle need a lot of reco stuff if you want them to be capable :p
On the EBRC Jaguar (pretty similar turret with some more stuff) suggestion you can found lot of nice details about thoses captor and stuff.
But why the remote MG turret and the ATGM launchers then?
Better defence against troops for the commander, and F&F ATGM that can snipe heavy tank even out of sight.
France reco vehicles since long time like to be also able to hurt a lot, not just reco only
ebrc basically means reconnaissance and combat armored vehicle so it got both reconnaissance and combat systems

Sure, but the MG turret also makes the thing extremely easy to spot, which I believe is something that you don’t generally want
SA tree can still get Bismark (same but with Olifant turret)
why would the SA tree get the hms bismark

Yeah but we are not in WW2 anymore, all vehicle could be easy spotted by drones, thermal from other vehicles, satelits, etc… So having a higher stuff like that don’t change a lot the result.
F-14D with AIM-7R, AIM-9M, and AIM-120A could reasonably be added but I doubt we’d ever see it.

Things is we test… we test out of the box, sometimes it don’t end well, sometimes we made stuff that everybody else use after.
And every country can be found to have worked on “uncommon” looking prototype x)
