They have some pretty punishing min ranges, very high loft and a fairly low cruise speed.
But have pretty decent max range and they attack near vertical so when terminal they wont be interceptable and they wont be affected by terrain or cover
they loft really high but have insanely low max speed compared to most ARMs you just get a lot of them (its core ability to loiter isn’t modelled so its pretty handicaped atm)

the funny thing is that apparently the tornado GR1 cant be up br due to the rest of the plane not being up to snuff
yet it has the same AAMs as the Tornado RET.8 it has better A2G weapons with the PGMs the only thing that is worse is the engines and the lack of the better counter measure pods, the engines could easily be solved just copy paste them over, GR1s were upgraded to MK103s from what I know
then limit it to 5 ALARMs 3 on the belly and 2 on the outer pylons so you cant take ANY other A2G weapons boom easy but nope ALARM is to strong when its worse then even AGM-88A

Typhoon too OP to get more than 2x AGM-88C or any ALARM at 13.0
Rather annoying update actually with how much they are restricting loadouts

True, but laser would also be fine for me as I only want it to deal with LDIRCM heli. Though I do hope it gets MMW as well if they do add it
Ret8 is the better airframe to the GR1 at the moment, but the only thing that really matters is… Well does it matter.
Tornado GR1 being 11.3 and used almost exclusively at 11.7 is exactly the same as being 11.7 in the first place. Give it ARM and it might then actually be able to compete at 11.7
its still so funny to me that russia got several ARMs this update across literally most of their planes but britian cant get its MAIN ARM on literally anything but a plane from the 2000s
Aint giving up kh29t for ts. Id rather joust them with vikhrs. I recall it having mpu in nuclear thunder. Where did those go? Could trade 2 ml for 2 mpu prob.

Which is a distinction that means very little in game, especislly the higher BR you go.
In game EFT is classified as a fighter where as F-15E as Strike aircraft, so that could be the reason or they just hate EFT
the gripen E is classed as a fighter and gets 16 spice bombs + 2 mavericks or some brimstones.
the J10C is classed as a fighter but gets 10 LS6 (IR)
the SU30SM2 is classed as a fighter but gets 6 KH38MT and 1500KG bomb in the center
i promise you strike aircraft means nothing
