Another interesting point is that both SEP v3 and F-14D are dropping in this update and caused more questions than applauses.

Only gaijin knows why better engines (AFAIK) and better radar (all aspect PD instead of just HDN) make this plane a “sidegrade”. It would have been perfect if it had gotten the AIM-7P (in combination with the all-aspect radar) too lol
That’s not what sidegrade means ’ a sidegrade involves switching to a different option of roughly equal value or capability’ where a worse option would be considered a downgrade.

either way calling it a sidegrade isnt the truth. the F-14D is better than the F-14B and there not “roughly equal”
they are, the f14d has an iris-t, a slightly better radar and a slightly better fox 3, its a sidegrade
