While yes it doesnt have 2 extra missiles I think MiG-29KR would be comparable in performance even with R-77-1 at 13.7
R-77-1 is the better missile at almost all ranges

I guess, but it’ll be one of those planes people would think “why is this at x BR? It should be higher”.
Missile dont make a platform. 29 is pretty miserable really

I would argue that the 29Kr with R-77-1 at 13.7 is less of an issue than the current problem we have with the 2 Su-30s at 13.3…

if you Fly an F-16 at 13.7 you get to take 6 Mediocre ARH missiles ar all but far distances or 6 Outclassed Unmanouverable AIM-9Ms
if you fly a MiG-29M or K you get to take 8 Really gold ARH missiles at all but far distances or 6 Really well manouverable R-73s
yes I know the F-16 has a better radar, and RWR, and is slightly more manouvaeable
but none of that matters when it gets slapped by R-77-1 and R-73 doing shots that Gaijin thinks should be impossible for NATO Jets
I just hate the fact that the first MiG jet without the terrible R-77 missiles will be the end of line MiG-35

if the Eurocanards now get their actual domestic armarment that MiG-31 won’t be top tier at all, not even with R-37M and R-73M
It depends on the platform end of day.
AIM-120 on an F-16? Ehhh they’re alright. But put those bad boys on a Eurofighter (AESA or M-scan) or F-15E? One of the best in the game.

you can get kills at 20km on unsuspecting or occupied targets
no even remotely experienced pilot will die to them
R-77-1 is different
6* ARHs, the maximum you can take on the MiG-29K/KR is 6x ARH and 2x R-73.
Also the 9M is one of the better IR missiles to be honest.
