Whilst im finding the situation personally a little bit funny. I do actually get the complaint.
So far France has gotten an F-16 in the TT, an F-16 as an SQV, an F-16 as their event aircraft and now as their premium. In fairly rapid succession.
It seems as if the ONLY vehicle gaijin has ever considered for France in the past 6 months? is the F-16, an aircraft not actually operated by France.
Out of all the things they could have picked. The F-16 is one of the more boring ones. I think French mains would have been happier with a Mirage IIIE or something else at or around that BR as a premium over another F-16 at high BR.
Squadron specific camo vehicles which copy the TT model would be neat as they represent a real vehicle. Now calling a vehicle an Early model that never existed and no unique camos is pathetic and should be deleted
Because the Japanese mains will tell you they are worse then ripping your own nails off because the mobility which imo I thought was just cool, but I’m more used to heavy tanks compared to the Type 90s and Type 10
this, I understand the players who grinded a tree are not the target audience for most premiums so it always confuses me when copypaste is complained about.
i just hate unique or upgrade vehicles being locked away if it had been the f14b as a premium and f14d as tech tree I wouldn’t complain, cause why did we need to wait approximatly like 5-6 years for a better radar f14
And many didnt grind the tree just to play that Sub-TT though.
I didnt grind Britain because i wanted Mig-29s and Su-30s. Id have grinded the soviet TT
Im guessing they didnt grind France because they wanted to play F-16s, they would have grinded any of the other trees that operated them
and they already had 2x F-16s on the Tree and then one as an SQV. Was either the event or premium F-16 necessary for “representation”?
A premium is not just about grinding a tree. Ive bought and operated more than a few premiums just for printing SLs or the other bonuses like no repair cost and new vehicles are added most updates, and a premium has no research effeciency loss, so can be useful even after reaching top tier.
Premiums and Events though are also a common way to get unique variants of existing aircraft, that dont belong in the TT either because they are too similar to an existing vehicle or because they dont fit cleanly in the TT.
An example of the former would be well… these F-16s. An example of the latter would be something like the Sea-Vixen.
I personally would really enjoy a premium version of the Buc S2 (Buc S50 would be perfect for this), Tornado GR1 (GR1A or Saudi version) and Tornado F3 (Saudi version). I would have taken any of those over the Mig-21BIson and F-18, neither of which I have purchased but I probably would have bought any and all of the aforementioned aircraft despite having the entire tree unlocked.
But at the end of the day, the core issue is simple. F-16 now operate as the event, SQV and now premium for France’s Rank 8, and all have been added recently. That is just pure lazyness
For France, Given they already have a premium Mirage F1, I dont think they should get that one as a higher BR premium. Would have made a better event aircraft though. The Mirage 2K premium would have been more sensible at 14.0. I dont understand their concern about BR though and one nation always has to be first. Not sure why it alway has to be the US or USSR
