I guess thats put another nail in the coffin for the challenger 2. Mabye if we wait another 3 years it might get some love eh. 😂
It’s a shame that the changes are almost always at the detriment of the tank and its viability though isn’t it. Where are the positive changes?
Ahh, my bad
uh. They often are ignored either on the CBR site or after acceptance and forwarding, especially relating to challengers, harriers, Jas39, or any notably old additions to the game.
Its a miracle i see so many of my CVR(T) reports getting actioned upon, a lot of other legitimate bug reporters dont get such pleasure.
I praying it will 🙏🙏
How should we interpret it? These changes already impact a struggling tank and now adding battery systems that will stop electronics working (CR2 has an APU…)
A basket which is a rotating bin lid on rollers
Refusal to even model the trunion correctly and refusal to adjust the round.
Whats next engine power nerf?
Gaijin are very much peeing on our Cornflakes
Hello Smin, about the whole ARM topic, could you please disclose if an interface for Air Sim mode will be developed before the major drops? As it currently stands, it is an overimpressed HUD element of the UI which Sim modes do not have. Will planes that carry ARMs receive dedicated in-game (overimpressed) HUD elements like the Radar box or RWR indicator? Also, other players and I like to play with the RWR/RADAR HUDs “on in-cockpit” off and rely on the Screens and reflex HUDs that the plane itself provides (on glass or MFDs); will ARMs be well integrated for this kind of immersive sim experience, or is there no time for this well-rounded implementation? Your response on this topic, if you have any, would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time.
Literally this. I don’t think we have seen a positive change since the addition of that 100hp. Apart from that, every positive change has been gone back on. It’s like we get happy and its decided that’s not allowed, so they remove it. All the CR2 changes that come, end up as negative ones; which is where my “bug reports are being ignored” comes from; because majority of the bug reports are there to help the vehicle, and improve it, and give it potential buffs, but they arn’t ever implemented. some get accepted, with no forward momentum, and some are just not looked at.
The tank is struggling, and it has been for years, and every attempt to help it gets it kicked back further. The only thing keeping it at its BR currently is it’s round which is even then, not even that great.
I’m sorry, but the developer team’s response itself makes absolutely no sense—ignoring the issue with the DM53. They take an official article that clearly discusses third-generation ERA armor (Relikt) and focus solely on the fact that the T72B3 is mentioned. They then draw a connection to their own game model because the Kontakt-5 is mounted on the hull, and from that they conclude that the DM53 cannot counter the Kontakt-5. What kind of answer is that? The article clearly discusses the use of Relikt on modernized Russian tanks. If the Kontakt-5 were also meant, it would be mentioned just as explicitly in the report as Relikt. I fully understand the article since I don’t need a translator. Therefore, the answer cannot be that players are expected to present classified documents to prove this otherwise.
little nitpick but the spirit of what you say is right, it makes an already sub par tank worse.
the donkey engine or APU on tanks such as the chieftain family (that includes challenger) are only on when the main engine isnt to supply power with less fuel use.
if an engine is on the batteries really shouldnt matter at all.
if the battery and engine are knocked out then sure electronics will go down, as we dont have APUs modelled in game
Challengers arent the worst as the ariete exists but they sure are poor.
This isn’t a loaded question, it’s a genuine one
What makes the Ariete worse? I assume it’s the lack of turret armour? (I barely ever see them in game and have never even looked at them in the hangar)
their armour is tragically bad. Ive comfortably turret cheek killed them with L27a1.
actually you can kill the AMV at pretty much any range through its cheeks. poor blighters have no chance
T-72B3A is also a serious contender for the title of worst MBTs at top tier.
I imagine it’s the sort of vehicle you’ve gotta play like a light tank? One of those ‘don’t get shot at’ tanks (always easier said than done)
What’s the mobility like for them? It always shocks how quick the Abrams is when I’m busy crawling out of spawn in my OES (something something regenerative steering)
i guess. but its still quite big.
their mobility seems acceptable. I dont play them, I have an incredibly low tolerance for anything above 8.7
The mobility for CR2 is awful. It’s slow, and when you turn it loses a lot of it speed. You cant get to advantageous positions before anyone else, and by the time an Abrams has reached the middle of the map, you’d likely be at the closest cap point or have just barely passed it.
Edit: Thats not even mentioning that the 2F, TES and OES all add more weight making you even slower to very little improvement to armour, if any at all, and you cant remove it. The plate on top of your turret also reveals your position to the enemy and is a HE trap, that can get you one shot.
theres a reason why i take the scimitar to top tier, its for early spots.
I have killed many a tryhard in my little aluminium box
Hey. A lot of the ARM mechanics are still WIP currnetly. So its not possible to say what will and wont specifically be final at this time. They will be functional in Sim too yes.
