I don’t think anyone is happy with it.
I haven’t seen anyone happy about it only being premium. Some might just not care, but nobody was against a techtree version.

It would be a pointless addition to the tree sitting in the same folder with other Tomcats where most players would skip it and go directly for F-18 anyway. As a premium it makes much more sense, a sidegrade to existing tech-tree version.

Yeah I guess so. But anyone who knows better would just buy the FA18C and IF they really want an F14, the IRIAF is always available on the marketplace for less… nvm its 200 bucks rn
Sadly it’s a direct upgrade, it does nothing worse than the techtree aircraft. This should not be premium only.
Maybe consider a techtree version with AIM-9M and AIM-7P, since that would be more relevant to progression than the current premium?

How would it be pointless? If you gave it it’s meaningful upgrades like upgraded AIM-54C, AIM-7P, and AIM-9M then it’s is actually an upgrade.
A premium version alongside a TT addition makes sense, adding it solely as a premium with none of it’s upgrades does not make sense. Hell even calling it the F-14D makes almost no sense at this point.
Surely you can not only see the community’s reaction over this but also other examples of similar from the past and think “maybe we made a mistake with this?”.
Also the argument of “it’s the US they have enough” is awful reasoning just a nation built so many aircraft it means that they should have their most requested locked behind a paywall and nerfed before it’s even out?

Or just… give both the 14B and 14D the AIM-9M since they’re already terrible aircraft at 13.0 and it’s not danger zone or la royale anymore.

There is an incredibly small part of the community, either single digit % or even less than 1% of the total playerbase, is mad about the F-14D being a premium.
The overwhelming majority of the community is likely just indifferent. So if we define “the community” as that small angry part, yes the community is angry. However if we look at the overall playerbase there is nothing significant going on.

Genuinely don’t see the downsides of them just giving us another 14D with all the bells and whistles. Who cares if it is gonna be mid as hell at 13.7 or whatev

Idea: The F-16 premium is a Danish one, because having mulitple pack premiums is common and I don’t think I am the only one hating reskins, therefore the shelf life of JA-37DI might be over
